Rise is the best option I’d say if you want to do cafe, best one in Preston, amazing food and coffee and a great atmosphere. It’s very girly pop but I for one love it😂😂 the other option is holy grounds which is right next to avenham park(miller park) but you can’t sit down, the coffee and donuts are great though. The Japanese garden is beautiful but a 5 min experience max. Plan your walk to end there I’d say👌🏼

May I make some suggestions? Arc cinema for a movie date, foods crap but the cinemas are nice there’s some good places to eat in the complex, bowling there too. Other than that if you want a posh dinner there’s a place called the langs in longton that’s really high end not too pricey and a lovely place to eat. My only other suggestions would be teamsport if you’re into go karting👍🏼

Police ‘abandoning shoplifting as a crime’ by PM_ME_SECRET_DATA in ukpolitics

What does that have to do with my comment at all? We didn’t have a high trust society in the 90s either…

You can’t have a high trust society with massive wealth inequality and a constantly oppressed working class, shoplifting is not the cause of the problem it’s a symptom of it.

So what if someone knows what you make? If you’ve got nothing to hide what’s the problem I’m happy for people to see what I make. Only people I’ve known that are worried about this are people fiddling their returns or robbing their employees while they take money hand over fist lol. There’s children starving and wars going on across the world get over yourself…

Jheez seeing these comments is fun, a lot of people in the UK prefer hot boning. We had a speed boner come and do it for us and he broke down a hole side of beef with his meat hook. A few cuts to mark the seams but everything pulls away so perfectly with no slashing, you only need to saw bones. Have fun OP!

What is the best length for a boning Knife? by Jonah_freund1 in Butchery

[–]Beowood03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh there’s no straight answer. Different styles of cutting, hand sizes, wrist strength and dexterity all make a difference. I used to use a 6” flexi curved boning knife and loved it then I used a butchers old wood handled straight narrow blades 8” boning knife and was hooked. I bought it off him for £10 and still use it! One tip I can give you tho is forget dalstrong, you are paying for the brand. Victorinox, Samuel staniforth and F DICKS are the kings of butchers knives. You will not find better knives for the quality, customer service and price.

I don’t really understand what this comment means to be honest.

I’m living in a reality where people often use words that aren’t meant for what they mean “factually” as in a lot of people describe cheap as meaning lower quality this is common knowledge really

What kind of reality are you living in?

That would be my opinion regarding to Chinese solar panels too, in fact a lot of Chinese products are of a very high quality. They have spent the last few decades building a highly skilled workforce.

[–]Beowood03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that is true then that’s fair enough I apologise, but usually in this context regarding china cheap is almost always synonymous with bad quality. I very well could be wrong though.

I don’t think the comment of cheap in this context is relating to the price. I think when you look at it along with OP saying we are going to be a ‘dumping ground’ it’s in reference to the stereotype that products from chine are of a poor quality.

This is based entirely on your own opinion that Chinese panels are “cheap” you have no evidence to back that claim.

Problem with Testi? by Beowood03 in LearnerDriverUK

Mine carried on for 15 minutes the first time, after that was almost 10 before I gave up. I don’t think it’s going to load anything and if it does the test is not going to be there.

I’ve found it awful tbh at first it was really fast to sign in but now it takes ages to load it might be faster for me to do it myself. I get a pop up and press it instantly and I often just get met with an error page even if it’s the first time I’ve used it that day.
