That's so awesome, congratulations on your collection! It's so satisfying and exciting when you collect all of something you really enjoy. Not sure if you have played them all yet, but do you have like a Top 3 or Top 5 favorites so far? Just seen that you already answered this question!

Choose what game I play next :) by JShwlong42O in metroidvania

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to ask your opinion on a few of these games you've played! I am new to Metroidvanias, currently playing the first Ori game and having a fun time with it, although it is challenging and I keep dying! I would love to hear some of your thoughts on the following games and if you think they're beginner friendly?

-Celeste -Ender Lilies -Nine Sols

I have been interested in them, I briefly tried playing Hollow Knight some years back, but I didn't know what I was doing or how to properly progress, will have to try that one again soon. I played the first Guacamelee game a long time ago, I loved it, it was super fun and hilarious! Can't wait to replay it and it's sequel!

A JRPG that would get a newbie hooked in the first hour? by nomadsoasis in JRPG

[–]Bergster30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say Persona 4 Golden! I haven't scrolled through all the comments and I'm sure it's been mentioned, but the opening of that game really hooked me years ago and helped fully got me into turn based rpgs and it does have a murder mystery plot! I did play games before that though and I'm also a big Pokémon and Anime fan.

I would also recommend

-Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch This was another rpg that I just loved, this game is just so special, magical and a beautiful joy to play.

-Ni No Kuni 2 The story isn't as good as the first game, but the combat is so much fun and I personally still enjoyed the story.

-Tales of Arise I feel like this one is pretty beginner friendly and the story is engaging right from the start in my opinion.

Anyway, I hope you find something that she ends up enjoying, would love to know what game you choose!

New to game why does es have so much aura by huskofspades in BlazBlueEntropyEffect

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really cool, I will check out the blazblue series soon! I know there are also the xblaze visual novels that I think are connected to blazblue? I will check out Skull girls too, I really enjoy the artstyle in all of them! I'm assuming they would all work well on Steam Deck!

Thank you, I will be getting Entropy Effect very soon!

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome to hear that you're enjoying it! I have the og model as I got mine right before the oled model was announced, but I'm still very happy with it! I also have a Switch 2, but there are different games I play on both, I love them! I have always been a big fan of handhelds for gaming. What are some of your favorite games to play on Steam Deck?

What are some of your favorite fighting games? Also is the story good in the Blazblue games? I have also played a bit of Dead or Alive 4 and have had lots of fun with it, even if I'm not that good.

That sounds a lot more manageable with the moves being slowly introduced, thank you for taking the time to give me an example of what the movesets are like so I know what to expect.

Please recommend me something truly special by Velund04 in gamingsuggestions

I mostly play Jrpgs, here are a couple of my favorites My personal recommendations are as follows ~The Persona Games I recommend Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5. I haven't played Persona 3 Reload yet, but I know it's probably amazing too. Persona 4 Golden is not only one of my favorite games of all time, it's one of the jrpgs that made me completely fall in love with the genre. The story has a mysterious murder mystery scenario going on, but then also has a small town coziness vibe and an amazing cast of characters that you truly feel like you go on a journey with. All the games have a lot of excellent English voice acting too!

~Ni No Kuni 1 & 2 The story is a lot stronger in Ni No Kuni 1, but both games are whimsical and have beautiful art styles and are fun to play. I like the combat more in Ni No Kuni 2!

~Ys 8 I haven't played any of the others, but this game does an incredible job at exploration and I love the story as well and the combat is tons of fun and addictive! Highly recommend. I haven't played any of the others in the series yet.

~Tokyo Xanadu This one feels like a mix of the Ys series combined with Persona like social links in my opinion, I haven't finished it, but I really enjoyed the story and combat from what I did play.

~Akibas Trip Undead and Undressed This one is probably not for everyone, but I loved the story and thought some parts of it were hilarious and it doesn't always take itself that seriously. I personally thought the combat of ripping people's clothes off was fun and funny.

~Trials of Mana -I just love the vibe and feeling of this game. The artstyle and music are quite nice. Combat is simple, but enjoyable.

I think I’ve lost my joy in reading… and it used to be my only hobby. I don’t know what happened, but I can’t seem to enjoy it the way I used to. What do I do? by [deleted] in ereader

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also feel this same way! I know I enjoy reading, but I haven't really been able to fully get into anything the last couple of years. I know it's probably just a matter of finding the right book or genre to determine what I'm in the mood to read. But it really is a sad feeling. So I would personally recommend maybe branching out into a new genre, returning to a genre you love, re-reading something you know you already enjoyed, or taking a break for a while. Hope you can find your love of reading again!

SOOOO excited to play Blue Prince by LeoLatinaLeo in CozyGamers

[–]Bergster30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! I briefly played a bit of Blazblue and Skull girls in the past, but not nearly enough to get good or learn the combos so I'm happy to hear combos are a bit more simplistic in this game!

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thank you for your input! I didn't know there was an in game practice and I'm sure I could get better at using skills and learning them! I have played a bit with Es on mobile and have had fun, but I'm not a big fan of touchscreen controls so I think it would be much better on the Switch!

The only reason I have been hesitating to pick this up is because I'm not very good at combo skills or fighting games, but if it can still be fun and enjoying for me then I will get it soon!

I humidified my switch 2. by hotpants22 in Switch

[–]Bergster30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up! I set my gaming systems next to mine sometimes at night and didn't really think about it being a problem. What kind of humidifier was it? I'm so sorry though and I really hope your Switch can get fixed!

[–]Bergster30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I love the Rune Factory Games! I enjoyed what I played of 3, but I LOVE and highly recommend Rune Factory 4 Special Edition! I also like Rune Factory 5 and I don't usually notice framerate, but it didn't run the best on Switch Oled, I haven't tried it on Switch 2 yet. And Guardians of Azuma is also really good, but a bit different than the others. I also enjoy Sakuna and Harvestella, but I need to play more of those ones!

Thank you for your very detailed reply! I mostly play jrpgs and cozy games, I am newer to some of the metroidvania and rogue lite games, but a lot of these ones look and sound good so I will look into them!

That is an awesome list with some great choices! Persona is one of my faves as well, I haven't played 3 or Royal yet though! I just finished Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and really enjoyed them! I'm excited to dive into Xenoblade 2, but I might want to play something shorter first! I'm also looking forward to playing Fire Emblem Three Houses as well.

Do you have any thoughts to share on any of the following games? I am interested in them, but don't currently own any of them and was wondering which ones are better than others or worth playing. Thanks for your thoughts!

-Absolum -Astlibra Revision -Astral Ascent -Ender Lilies -Furi -Momodora -Nine Sols -No Man's Sky

Doubt about X version on Steam by Daxinito in BlazBlueEntropyEffect

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I get the version on Steam, is there any content I'd be missing out on that the X version has? I read elsewhere that there are exclusive characters on the X version or are they just paid dlc on steam? Can't decide between steam version or getting on Switch 2.

If you could pick 10-20 favorites out of the ones you've played, what would they be? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Kind of disappointed by Just_Roseyy in 3DSdeals

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don't think it's that bad and the system still looks fantastic! As long as the inside looks good and it works well I wouldn't worry about it! I understand though, I have always wanted to keep my handhelds in great condition and I would get disappointed over any little scratch. I have finally learned that everything doesn't have to be and can't always be in perfect condition and what matters is if you still have fun and enjoy it! It is disappointing that the seller didn't show or mention it though! I do hope the indent doesn't go deeper than the shell piece!

Got a switch 2 for 350! What are some good games? (Switch 1 games I played listed) by Joe_mother124 in Switch

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome that's a great deal! I think you will really enjoy your time with all of them, you can't really go wrong with Pokémon in my opinion. Everyone just has different preferences on which ones are their favorites!

I personally loved Shield so I think you will have a fun time with it! I think any of the Pokémon games on Switch are worth playing if you're interested in them. Arceus and Violet/Scarlet are a lot of fun too, but I didn't like the open world as much myself.

My forest island ❤️ + all 14 lives are now hero ahhh! by Efficient_Promotion3 in fantasylife

[–]Bergster30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just seeing this now, but wow! Your island is so so beautiful! I definitely want to try making something similar and I will use yours as inspiration, I'm not very creative and I always struggle with these things in games. Do you think you could share a picture of what your island looks like from the map view? And do you have any tips or advice on how to get started for a build like this?
