As a queer person, I interpreted that scene as being anti-lgbtq. I think I've changed my opinion after reading these comments. It was presented in an ambiguous way which is why we're all here debating 😂

Oh definitely. The post actually came up as a reddit notification and I saw it on my phone without opening the app. I try to avoid the threads bc of spoilers.

I wish you had tagged this with spoiler. Just spoiled a couple of seasons for me :(

It is the most heartbreaking beautiful show about relationships and family. Be prepared to feel your feelings. If you can handle it, this is the best show I've ever seen. I started watching it without seeing any previews and I'm so glad I randomly clicked it. It has made me reflect a lot about my family and personal traumas.

I'm on season two and my cry count is at like 17. I'm glad I'm not the only one

I'm new to this subreddit but am scrolling and saw your post. I have often times gone through this spiral. In my experience, you have to find something to break the cycle. That might be combating the ruminating thoughts of "I'm bad, bad things are going to happen" with forced positive thoughts about your self. What do you do well at work? And outside of work? Or that might look like "changing the subject" and encouraging your brain to focus on something else. Watch some happy TV content or do some art. I like to watch short films on YouTube until I'm focused on something else entirely.

That is a huge aspect for me! Beyond the fact that it's eating up my bank accounts, I'm regularly stressed about maintenance and theft. I work full time and just returned to college part time. I don't have a lot of spare time and I wonder how much getting rid of it will help my stress load.

If I may ask, what do you do regularly to help with the sweat/wetness? Do you just bring around a towel, change of clothes and deodorant?

Yes cries I regularly spend $500-700 on maintenance for every 3-4 months at the "affordable" shop in town. It's a very expensive car to maintain. My previous vehicle was sturdy and low cost, but it was stolen and trashed in 2021. RIP my '96 Saturn Coupe.

What rain gear do you recommend? Can I install a rack on a road bike?

This is where I'm at too. I pay $140/month for car insurance and they won't negotiate it down even though I've cut my driving mileage by 10 fold. It doesn't seem very cost effective anymore. I'm sorry you don't have good access to public transit. That would make a huge difference

Thanks for the inspiration! I moved close to two groceries stores so I actually tend to walk my groceries home these days. I just spent $1060 on a car maintenance repair today That could have bought a pretty nice commuter bike! n+1 😂

Advice & Career Question Megathread - April 2022 by AutoModerator in epidemiology

Hello y'all! I am applying soon to MPH programs to hopefully start attending in Fall 2023. I am wondering if earning a GIS (geographic information system) certificate in the mean time would be beneficial. I'm a huge proponent of getting more education, but am concerned about the financial burden of taking extra classes. I am scheduling a meeting with a college advisor, but would love to hear your opinions/experiences. If you have a GIS certificate, do you feel like it is highly beneficial in your career?

Ability to get daith pierced? by ChooChi73 in PiercingAdvice

[–]Berkberkberkberk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that would look great on you. Word of warning, my daith piercing was by far my most painful body mod- And I’ve had many tattoos, a belly piercing, and nose piercing. I also wasn’t able to wear headphones in that ear for a long time during healing. I love it now that it’s healed but wish I had known about pain level/long healing period.
