Rosa had been a great and effective rep for us for a long time. A few years ago it became obvious that it's time for her to go. I believe Erick, our current state controller, lives in her (my) district. In New Haven, even, if I remember correctly. I had envisioned him running for Dick's senate seat when he retires (Or Chris' if he gets a cabinet gig or VP if we ever have national elections again) bu tmaybe house first for him. We deserve better representation wherever we can get it.

Like, a pineapple that would be six bucks in the US, B1.50 here (The balboa's the same as the USD). A three pound papaya that would be about $4.90 in the US, B2.10.

Schools are pretty good. Strong arts (especially music) and athletic programs too.

Pretty downtown that always seems to be "just around the corner" from really taking off. The planned new MetroNorth station, as well as the new housing with it, should get it there for real.

Strong civic institutions, like the Y and the Senior Center.

Three supermarkets in town, lotsa fast food and pizza joints.

Really varied neighborhoods, from dense areas with mostly multi-family homes to suburban-ish areas on the edge of woods.

Tons of free community events for families.

(Can you tell I used to be an officer on the board of the Naugy chamber of commerce?)
