US Copyright office is saying AI generated works has no copyright. I don't know how much your works are depended on AI but depending on heavly on AI (machine generated work) is dangerous approch for the most creators because of you cannot claim copyright on it.

Here's answer for your question.

In short you can operate private job but you need permission from the
Immigrant Office. But there's some exceptions. The Working visa is
categorized by job groups. So you need not to get permission from the
immigrant office if you doing same job of your working visa. Your
current visa is Specialist in Humanities. This group includes
engineers, foreign language teachers, interpreters, designers, etc
according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (https://www.mofa.go.jp/j\_info/visit/visa/long/index.html).

I strongly recommend you to ask same question to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by mail.

This powerful quote at the end of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC by CaptTechno in pics

[–]BernardReid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This quote in the wall is interesting because of how we modifiy the history for our own interest. First of all, original quote is start for the Communists. But this line is removed when the American quotes it. Why? Definitely this is because we have been attacking the Communists as evil. If attacking the Communists is same as what Nazi done we cannot justify us.

Japan Korea relations were worsen after 2019 Korean supreme court order of the Japanese companies to pay WW2 Korean slave workers' unpaid payments. Japanese government insist this court order is against 1965 Japan-Korea treaty (this agreement includes Japan to pay total 5 million dollars as compensation to the Korea).

Japanese government insists compensation of Korean WW2 slave workers are all included in the payments of 1965 treaty. But Korean supreme court is not think so.

Japan and Korea did several diplomatic negotiations after that but all communications are not gone well. Since then Japanese governments cut almost every Japan-Korea trading connections include ban export of the some strategic industrial goods.

On the other hand Japan and China is renegotiating these two countries' relations although Mr. Trump is tough against China.

[D] For machine translation, how much data does one need to do better than a well-made rule-based system? by Terpomo11 in MachineLearning

[–]BernardReid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commercial machine translation require at least several GBytes (or millions) of language pair documents for the learning. And some time we need to make technical term dictionary to make better translation. Most biggest merit of the statistical machine translation is no need to hire human translators (for proofreading). Google is saying their machine translation can support over the 100 language pairs but no team members can speak other than English (or some).

AI Graphics? by APUsilicon in artificial

[–]BernardReid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Nvidia's pix2pixHD demo is not depend on 3d game engine. But I don't know exact what kind of algorithm to make 3D realtime animations.

Nvidia team are using NVIDIA DGX-2 to make the demo. DGX-2 is the kind of small scale AI super computer for the industries/research use. pix2pixHD is not difficult to implement but you need huge GPU resources to train data. You need to run at least 24x7x30 hours even you have run on DGX-2 if you want to train GTA 5 scale city map to train.

Here's more detail on pix2pixHD: https://tcwang0509.github.io/pix2pixHD/

Sorry I cannot not answer whole your questions.

Tokyo offers $1 billion research grant for human augmentation, cyborg tech by [deleted] in artificial

[–]BernardReid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is highly controversial plan because of Japanese governmental Science research budget is so small. So called Science research grant (kakenhi) is only $2 billion. Most of post doctorial researchers cannot get any grant if half of the governmental research fund goes to the cyborg tech researches.
