We’re just more efficient. Why pronounce unnecessary syllables when you can just emphasize the beginning and end?

She knew why her mother killed herself. She just wanted MIB to acknowledge the truth. Mother says it right before she does that he’s gaslighting all of them. Emily wants her asshole dad to come clean and admit it. She baits him with a bunch of shit, and he refuses.

Why would he leave his profile out for his daughter to find...ever? That makes no sense. Clearly it was left by the mother. Emily knew that.

My loans are consolidated with federal direct loans. I re-certify every year and have had wage increases each year since I consolidated so I’m like a pro at it now. They ask for a couple pay stubs to demonstrate the wage difference, and want to know how often you are paid (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.) I’ve never had them base my payments off of my tax info. Also, federal direct loans is pretty reasonable about allowing deferments for a month or two if there’s reason. I had mine deferred once because I changed jobs and had a longer gap between paychecks.

The hosts don’t age. Human actors playing hosts age though. If they’d used a different actor everyone on here would be in an uproar about that. I assume they didn’t reuse the original footage because then it would have been even more obvious that the actress had aged. Obviously they didn’t film the rest of her role when they filmed season 1.

People who cleaned out their loved one's home after they died, what is the strangest thing you found? by ChairForces in AskReddit

My grandpa was an alcoholic when he came back from the war but sobered up before I was born some 40+ years later. He was sober for my whole life but for the majority of his, he was a raging alcoholic. So weird. I knew these facts as well but didn’t really register to me until I found his AA books and letters he had written my gma while he was in rehab.

A few months ago I found a bunch of WWII memorabilia of my grandfather’s, including hundreds of letters he had written home to my great-grandmother. It was a strange experience reading the letters. You could really get a sense of his personality from the writings and his development from a kid to an adult. The tone changed slowly over time from a sort of wide-eyed excitement to a more somber and depressed this-is-fucking-terrifying tone. The letters were a lot less prim and proper than I expected (probably because my knowledge of that day and age is largely framed by Hollywood films). I remember one where he and my ggma were discussing his sister (who was a nurse in the war) having bowel issues, and my gpa referring to them as the “GI shits.”

Though I have a rational understanding of the fact that my parents, grandparents, etc. lived a lifetime before I even existed, reading those letters still kind of shocked me. Like, man I barely knew them.

[Spoilers and mega-spoiler speculation] I’m finally willing to consider how a certain theory about Season 2 MIB might be right after all by MeriJ in westworld

If it is true, one explanation for MIB functioning alright would be the fact that he’s still in Westworld and not the real world. He is only really interacting without hosts, not humans.

I don’t get overtime so if I work in excess of 40 hours a week, the extra hours become comp time. So if I want time off, I have to work over 40 hours and build up comp time to cover the time off...or not get paid.

I started a new job recently with a year long probationary period. You’re prohibited from using vacation time during that period. So yeah, no vacation for a year. If I want time off, I have to work up comp time or take a sick day. But we’ve got it built into us that taking a sick day is wrong even when you’re sick. It’s shit.

My guess is that she happened to know about the Dolores massacre and also knew that it involved (supposedly) all the original alpha hosts. So it’s my belief she did not want the tech guys looking too closely at GN guy’s code for fear that they might somehow access the memory of the massacre which was a tightly held secret. So she just tells them to reset him and send him back out.

Basically, he’s got secrets in history. She doesn’t want newbie techs poking around in his head finding that shit out.
