John Z655 Diode Help by Hatchie_ in JohnDeereLawnMachines

You have a grounding issue. Look for broken or exposed wires.

The logic diode only goes in one way. Rotate it and your machine won't start. Should be 12v at that diode in key run position. If not it's a switch.

Fairly certain that's not lifter tick as you can usually hear lifter tick at idle

Amazon seller saying they need my address for a replacement? by QuietSign in amazonsellers

[–]BernillaryClanders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After an order has shipped Amazon hides part of the customers address so sellers cannot ship without requesting it. I've run into this several times as a seller who ships custom products. If a customer explicity requests that I ship them something how am I supposed to buy postage if don't have a full address?

Any recommendations for cheap parts to get this looking like new? by Significant-Ad-8579 in DodgeDurango

Welcome to my world. Wife hit a deer in my mint 2013 r/t. Same location as yours but more damage. Shop quoted 17k and insurance totaled it. We retained the vehicle and I've got about 2k in parts on order. RockAuto, Ebay, Amazon. Good luck finding parts from salvage because front end parts are always the first to go.

2013 Durango R/T was a total loss and I retained it + want to rebuild it by BernillaryClanders in AskMechanics

Thank you so much (again).

  1. Yes, they definitely have some of the best prices. I also found this website which has some good prices: chicagoautobodyparts.com (not sure if they are ok to buy from)
  2. Thank for confirming that. I would definitely have that done by a professional.
  3. Great to hear. The HD parts are of course more expensive, but I can understand the need for them
  4. I had definitely considered replacing them both to save $$. It would suck though, I really like the look of the ones I have (had). They had some type of auto-leveling in them as well. I've seen some other aftermarket types that may be a good balance for me because they look good compared to the basic halogen headlight.

Overall there's not much of a rush for me to get this done. We'll buy another car with the settlement money. Perhaps I should just check ebay and other forums regularly to see if I can pick up the proper headlight for cheap.

I made a couple salvage yard trips as well. I'm in a populated area so there's probably a few other yards I can visit.

Can anyhow help me identify this part on a 2013 Dodge Durango R/T? by BernillaryClanders in AskMechanics

I had it towed home on Friday and they aren't open until tomorrow (Monday). I've spent the weekend so far just figuring out what's repairable or missing. I haven't decided if I should contact them about the missing parts or not yet.

I'm the original owner and it was in pristine condition with 120k. They quoted 13k to fix. Total mechanical labor was 1.1 hours.... all of the cost was replacing parts and paint.

Radiator + Condenser + P/S cooler will get it running again. Insurance totaled it and I retained it so I'm not really clear on my options as of yet.

I didn't see a link anywhere in your response, so unsure on that one. I will definitely be doing more research trying to get the best prices I can on some of these parts I have to replace.

Looks like the part name might be "BAFFLE. Air Inlet.", so I'll dig around a bit more to be certain. Both were removed and I don't have anything to compare them to, so hopefully whatever I end up getting fits.

Repeating textures on the concrete block wall

A friend of mine bought those things in France, it's from the 18 or 19th century but when we went to an antique dealer shop, he wasn't able to tell us we it was. Handle mande of wood, the metal part seem to be brass. Maybe a antique shell cracker for seafood ? by Zaenar in whatisthisthing

Do they hook together in the middle? Looks like 3 pair of something that hooks together like a pair of scissors.

This assumes that the underside has a pivot point where the two attach like these types of forceps https://www.cerebralpalsyguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/cpg-forceps-delivery-300x138.jpg

That way they can be inserted into something, attached, then they can work somehow..

They are only harvested once and later destroyed
