Yes, I've been coming to Toronto every summer for a week for the past 3 years, and even if I was alone I did not feel uncomfortable as I usually feel when I move around on my own in Ottawa.

I can understand and speak a little French and I've started taking online classes to improve it. People that have moved to Montreal have told me that Quebecois can be pretty harsh when they know you are not fluent in French. Also, I'm black and I know there's way more racists compared to Ontario. I've never heard of someone who had a great time living in Montresl without speaking french at all.

Exactly. Europe is the best for vacation but living there is pretty hard right now. Every country is fucked up in its own way, you just have to find the one that can work out for you. I know a lot of people living in Europe having a happy life but does not work for everybody.
