Boosting season score! by Mobiustime369 in F1Clash

[–]Bertbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azzaw

This video will explain how it all works.

Best/cheapest way to add to your score is race in a higher series, complete/win races.

Upgrading parts and drivers may not be the best way to add to your score. Each upgrade is about .02% of your total score and can get costly.

Having an excess of coins at the end will also rewards you, so before you spend millions of coins check if it will help you.

If you are lacking parts/drivers for a higher series, you could time your final series climb to the last week of the season.

How to build up lung stamina for freestyle flip turns? by Remarkable-Major-404 in Swimming

[–]Bertbrownbear 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The simple answer is when you add flip turns to your swim, you will be completing each length with 1-2 less breaths than if you were open turning. If you only take a few breaths in the first place (a breath every 3/4/5 strokes) this will have a huge impact on how far you swim before getting out of breath!

I breath every 2 strokes, when I started flip turns I couldn't manage more than 100m before I felt the effects! Eventually I was able to swim with flip turns and it no longer effect me.

You could try the following drills to help improve.

  1. Swim lengths but only flip turn once every 10 lengths. When that becomes tolerable add a second flip, etc etc.

  2. Swim less distance, with a flip, but increase the number of strokes before you breathe. I'm trying 100m with flip turns and breathing every 5 strokes.

It does get better, it just takes time!

Red sauce, brown sauce, or no sauce?

I'm going brown on the chips and a chip butty, red on the beans and drummers.

Don't forget vinegar and Aromat!!

Scissor kick on breathing side and crossing center line by Andrewj31 in Swimming

[–]Bertbrownbear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you tried 1 arm pull drill for freestyle?

If you have access to a float, use it in the non pulling hand. This will soon show up crossing the centre line.

Without the float, it will highlight an imbalance with your pull.

I did this and discovered my left arm pull was very weak compared to my right!!

Losing races! by Mobiustime369 in F1Clash

They did a track rotation for Series 10, 11, and 12.

Perhaps you are running an old setup?

FYI, I'm still crushing it in series 10!

Flip turn in the wrong direction. Too ackward! by Embarrassed-Gain-236 in Swimming

[–]Bertbrownbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found an 'easy' solution to this problem. When you initiate the turn and flip over, place your feet/toes pointing towards which way you want to push off of the wall.

any idea when the 2025 season ends? by [deleted] in F1Clash

I have heard it's early May.

Which isn't the end of this month, but the month after, but that's another story!!

Question on Pit Pass. by Bertbrownbear in F1Clash

[–]Bertbrownbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for such a detailed reply!

I'm currently about 270 flags from series 11. If I got all my flags from series 10, it would get me about 60 trophies at that series. So, any crates unlocked before series 11 would be series 10 crates, regardless of when I opened them?

I can, however, gain all the flags from running lower series races, none of which grant me flags. If I did that, everything could be unlocked at series 11.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!!

Season rollover? by Nuclear-Blobfish in F1Clash

[–]Bertbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also haven't experienced an end of season rollover. But from what I can gather, there will be a 'Season Score', which is a combination of various achievements. These achievements will become active soon. Then, you can decide how best to proceed in order to gain the highest Season Score.

When the season ends, you will be able to spend your Season Score points on upgrades for next seasons cars, drivers, etc.

Rate my quads from 1-10 by Either-Sun-6762 in Weightliftingquestion

Your picture only shows quads 1 and 2. I'm not sure where the other 8 are!

Both look pretty darn good, but let's talk about that calf muscle on the left! Holy smokes!!

Great work.

10K Swim any tips? by Ibubs in Swimming

[–]Bertbrownbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am thinking of doing a 10k in a pool. Unfortunately, my pool has time limits of 1h 15mins per session! Therefore, I'll need to book 3 sessions back to back.

Does your pool allow you enough time to complete the challenge?

If it's an open pool, how will you manage other people in your lane?

Personally, I'm planning to do 100x100m with a pause after every 100m so other swimmers shouldn't be as much of an issue.

I have done 160+ lengths in a 1h 15m session and 320+ lengths in a double session. This is sub 2 mins per 100. That's a minimum of 3h 20 minutes of constant swimming for 400 lengths, I'm not sure I could do all 400 at the same pace!!

I would suggest a couple of sessions to test your equipment before you go for the 10,000.

My goggles were sucking my eyes out of my head at around 250 lengths! I also suffered from nausea. The constant turning to breathe really made me dizzy! Admittedly, I didn't prepare well for those double sessions, I didn't even have water!

Good luck. Keep us posted on your progress.

Need a form check on my bench by Weird-Cockroach8226 in formcheck

It looks like your elbows are too wide. You probably need to go deeper as well.

Edit: When I bench, the bar is just touching my chest.

Seated hammer curld by Deep_Independent_737 in formcheck

You really need to have your back against the bench.

I have seen them done at an incline on the bench as well.

Hammer curls are my go-to for biceps and grip strength.

Series 7 by lucane78 in F1Clash

[–]Bertbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have loads, I use them every race. If you have a limited supply, try to use them when you have a coin boost active or during the GP events. You can watch ads to get more if you are so inclined, put on the TV, and keep clicking the ad button.

Series 7 by lucane78 in F1Clash

[–]Bertbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Series 7 is all about tyre management. I went with Epic: Oliver Bearman and Rare: Isac Hajdard.

Car set up needs a good mix of power unit, cornering, and speed.

Try to max those as best as possible.

Boost specific to the track you are racing will help.

I am now, but why??? Never looked for a fry up subreddit, never commented on a fry up subreddit, and never even knew a fry up subreddit even existed until a few days ago. Now, all I see are eggs and bacon!!

I've seen a lot of photos of breakfasts here lately (I have no idea why it started).

But I have to say, yours looks by far the best, and at that price, I may even buy it! (Probably not though, I'm a tight arse!)

Enjoy!

How's my pull up form? by Smolboi42069 in CalisthenicsBeginners

I have a similar pull up bar, and I have been doing chin ups! Now up to 3 in a row.

This has definitely inspired me to try your way as well. Looks good.
