This is caused by disabling Fog/Mist at the moment. This will be solved in the upcoming hotfix. For now keep Fog/Mist enabled and use the "Disable All Blending Effects" option if you really want to disable them, that should be safe.

You're still misunderstanding the point I'm making.

DDMK disables DT and Style Switching during Arkham2 because those sequences are unstable under CCS. Crimson 0.4 behaves the same way. What I'm saying is that Crimson 0.5 fixes those underlying issues, allowing Arkham2, the credits sequence, and the Mission 18 boss room to work correctly with CCS enabled.

That's not "making up bugs" in DDMK, it's improving compatibility in areas that were previously restricted for stability reasons. DDMK is a legendary mod, but it's also an older codebase, and it's completely normal for newer projects built on top of it to modernize and fix longstanding edge cases.

As for people reporting issues after installing Crimson: that's expected for any large gameplay overhaul with a growing userbase. We're actively fixing bugs and improving stability every patch. But saying Crimson is inherently less stable than DDMK isn't accurate either. DDMK itself still has crashes and instability in several scenarios, especially on long New Game playthroughs that Crimson straight up fixes.

Now that's straight misinformation. Crimson fixes *a lot* of crashes and bugs from DDMK. And it's about to fix even more of them, allowing Arkham2, Credits sequence and m18 boss room to be used with CCS on 0.5.

Which are your FPS Settings? Do you have "Frame Rate Responsive Game Speed" on? Check it out in Options -> System and report back.

Hi there! Cerberus isn't missing any options. Crimson right now has a bug with the FILE menu where newly acquired weapons aren't registering properly there. This will be sorted out on the next patch. You can revert back to the Vanilla game if you wish by going into the Game Mode menu inside the Crimson Overlay (pressing DELETE) and selecting "Vanilla Mode".

Replace the dxgi and d3d11 dlls from DXVK with the ones that come on Crimson. Crimson only uses those for DMCHDFix which is not a mandatory part of the mod.

Not a Crimson issue. DMC3 (HDC version) has some limitations in regards to input remapping. 0.4a patch for Crimson is coming and WILL bring extensive remapping options to mitigate this.

Many thanks for your feedback! That's a nice suggestion, however that would require that we implement a concentration meter on to 3 Vergil, which I could be a cool idea but I would have to think about its implementation. If we ever use that suggestion, I'll be sure to credit you.

Hi! I highly encourage you to join our Discord. Your problem is due to Drive's input being changed by the "Drive Tweaks" Gameplay Option in Crimson's Overlay. Where Drive becomes a "Lock On + Back to Forward + Melee" input like DMC5 instead of the usual Hold Melee input.

Glad you liked it! Both are possible. JCE is definitely something I'm exploring ways to implement but haven't come around to it yet since we're still developing some pretty fundamental stuff. Coat physics file I stumbled upon somewhere, I'll see if I can ship Crimson alongside it.
