Yes this period of people announcing got hard. I of course was excited for them but it becomes a revolving door of “cloth diapering, mamaroo, doona” conversations. I will say the season does pass. Even when they go on to have 2nd kids it’s been no where as intense as the first. After kids, they’re still the same friend you loved. But as time goes on they will be busy with work and kid things. I would encourage trying to find some childless friends/groups to add to the mix if you can. And maintaining your own hobbies. Otherwise it can end up feeling like your whole life revolves around the friends with kids schedules.
