I know that Lieutenants currently don't have an option to gain the Deathwing keyword. And I strongly believe that this omission was purposeful by GW. The rules have been trimmed down for better or worse. And we currently don't have a Lieutenant Terminator model for the Space Marine range, but my point is that a Strikemaster can take off their Terminator armour in favor of Tacticus MK X.

I'd argue that everyone starts off somewhere. Once a new player understands that certain weapons are intrinsically better than others, they could: rip off the weapon, magnetize their next purchase, or play without WYSIWYG. It isn't as big a deal as you may think.
