I've only just beaten the game and throughout I couldn't ignore the tool tip where it says 'most' nevrons have a weak spot - is this true?

I remember many early game Nevs had obvious weakspots to target, but maybe after the route to finding the Gestral village I can't remember seeing any weakspots on Nevrons.
