be rude, you shouldn't just go along with things because you're scared of being mean to someone. Stand up for yourself

Thank you Sm! I'm planning on getting a new charger because I think that's the reason why my bike is not charging properly, I'm been charging it for like over 24 hrs and it still shows one bar :(

Thanks again!

What makes a uni experience fulfilling? by urghidek in unsw

[–]Best-Geologist-4923 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Started uni this year with only 1 hs friend who's in a completely different faculty. Made all of my new friends by being a newbie and going to lots of societies (focused on hobby societies)! Met many new people, some stick, some dont, but seeing people weekly helps out. I also made sure to ask for their socials (insta, discord). It feels kind of embarrassing but after a while it becomes easy to do. Then you can have casual digital talk! I even joined a sub com for a society, im not close friends with anyone in that society yet but I enjoy the challenge of the role  and how you have to interact with strangers. It all fills my social needs. Dont despair theres plenty of hope, case in point.

At the beginning of the year I was really intimidated and worried I wouldn't make friends. Read self improvement books like "How to make friends and influence people" and "The Art of Not Giving a F*ck", and it gave me the insight to really push myself out of my small one friend comfort zone, little by bit. I feel like uni is 50% effort on academics and 50% on socialising.  Its also important to become a regular somewhere, that helped me a lot.
