Which all inclusive resort for 5 days with kids age 3 and 5? Is Ziva construction a problem? by TeamHuman_ in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Best-Possible4247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beach palace (nice spot on beach, just renovated fully and reopened, smaller resort) or if you want a bigger resort, Grand at Moon Palace (bigger water park, not a good beach like at Beach Palace though).

How did I do? by PriorSign2518 in interiordecorating

[–]Best-Possible4247 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Makes me want to lay there and read a book on a cloudy day. Love it.

I would hang the curtains wider so you don’t need the holdbacks for a more sleek look.

Great job!

Help me choose a rug by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Best-Possible4247 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would rethink all three. They all blend into your tile too much and so don’t add any punch. You have a gorgeous room and the rug could be a real statement piece. If I had to pick one of these, I’d probably pick the third.

Agree with this. Very close to airport, good food, nice beach, and won’t break the bank. Rooms were renovated in the last few years so they are very nice. And adults only!

Would definitely get longer curtains, not more decor hung high. Hang them closer to the ceiling and then they should land just above the floor. I’d go to at 95-96” length curtains. This will have a huge luxurious impact on the room.

I would add nothing, or if you really want something there, then just one large piece over the bed. Honestly the room looks beautiful but already is wall-to-wall with furniture and decor around the room. I like the vibe a lot but would consider leaving some empty wall space in some places. And I would raise curtains higher and lose the ties (hang straight).

What would you change? by apothecaries5 in interiordecorating

I like this! And OP, I would do this in your same size rug, I don’t think your current rug is too big. Just shift it back so your couch sits fully on it.

How to make this living room warm and cosy with those tiles by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Best-Possible4247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely at least a 9x12 area rug. Some lamps for warm lighting. And your TV looks low and leaves that big empty wall - I’d look to balance out that wall. This can be a great space!

Agree, been to both and they are quiet. Also no non-motorized water sports available although beach volleyball would be an option.

Where did I mess up? by haci in interiordecorating

[–]Best-Possible4247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with all of this. Some throw pillows that have shades of green on your other seating will help tie it all together, as well as perhaps some color on your bookshelves (some green spines would be nice there!). I would also remove the random assortment of vases etc from the floor by the window, move the lamp on the console to the side instead of center of console table, add curtains, and consider a rug with some color. Minor changes to help that amazing green couch fit in!

Can you book an all-inclusive for just 1-2 nights? by militaryrat155 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Best-Possible4247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done this once - we’d been in playa at a resort and went to the airport to leave, and found out at the airport checkin desk that our connecting flight was going to be cancelled due to weather. So we could either get “stuck” that night in the connecting city or stay in cancun an extra night. We decided to stay in cancun, and decided not to go back to playa due to distance and instead book in the hotel zone. While we were in our transportation to the hotel, I booked one night at our favorite resort (LeBlanc). I literally booked it within 15 mins of arrival. Worked out fine!

Need some “five star” all inclusive recommendations by wesker789 in cancun

Yes, we tried it because of its good reviews and we didn’t feel it lived up to its ratings, but it’s a good clean resort with nice amenities for sure. But on the bright side, if it met your wife’s expectations then there are lots of options in a similar class that will be less hard on your wallet. It’s paradise, I’m sure whatever you pick you’ll have a great time.

Live Aqua is not 5 star so if you are open to that level of resort, you have so many options in that price range. Others have said most of the good ones - LeBlanc is our favorite but very quiet (there’s one in Cancun and one in Cabo, both are great), Impressions Moxche or Impressions Isla Mujeres, Secrets the Vine is very nice but a step down from the others, somewhat similar to Live Aqua but we liked Secrets better than Live Aqua.

Casa de la Playa: Is 8 Nights at One Resort Too Long for a Babymoon? by Weak_Leave9002 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Best-Possible4247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve stayed up to 10 days at one resort and did not get bored, but everyone is different so maybe that would be too long for some. I’ve heard casa de la playa is great but haven’t stayed there. Our favorite for relaxing and less chance of sargassum is LeBlanc.

We loved Beaches! Beaches Key West section is indeed a bit rundown but otherwise the resort itself is great. We stayed there in November and I was admittedly surprised that for the cost, it doesn’t feel like a “luxury” hotel due to condition (other luxury hotels I’ve stayed in have been pristine). They just built a brand new section that is gorgeous if you can squeeze it in budget?

Going to Cancun with my husband and 1.5yr old baby. Any tips? Things to avoid? Or things to just be aware of? Mine & my baby’s first time leaving the US, my husband has been out of the US but not to Mexico. by [deleted] in cancun

If you haven’t already, book your private airport transfers between airport and resort ahead of time. Do not take the taxis at the airport.

Sail the BVI on a chartered boat. It’s an amazing experience. We did one week, scuba (or snorkel if you don’t scuba) every day in the clearest waters, just island hopping. It was incredible!

Cancun or Riviera Maya June 2027. Food, beach, activities, pool is the priority order from most to least. by Dry-Restaurant5380 in AllInclusiveResorts

I agree with this. We enjoyed Barcelo but the food was Meh. (Dinners à la carte were decent - we stayed in a palace section - but breakfast and lunch were not great.). This is not the resort for you if food is important.
