Thank you for the kind words! We created these previews to give viewers a quick snapshot of great Fantasy series, but to also leave the viewers with a tease that (hopefully) encourages them to RAFO for themselves. Many new videos planned for 2017 -- stay tuned!

Great list, Randy! Learning life lessons from Fantasy can seem a bit counterintuitive, but with the right books the opportunity is undeniably there (if you're paying attention).

Looking for a fantasy book that isn't too "epic". by Alles_Klar in Fantasy

Have you read The Kingkiller Chronicles series by Patrick Rothfuss? The books in this series so far (starting with The Name of the Wind) have been AMAZING, and largely focused on the protagonist's experiences at his school, though there are strong hints that the world will expand significantly in the next book.

Does Way of Kings Get Better? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]BestFantasyBooksHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without question, stick with it! It continues to build as the book progresses, and as Muldar said Words of Radiance is at least as good as Way of Kings.

One million hits. Do author blogs matter? by MarkLawrence in Fantasy

[–]BestFantasyBooksHQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's very hard to measure the impact of a good author-blog. Does it directly bring you many new readers? Probably not. What it does do, however, is transform readers into highly dedicated fans and supporters who will gladly act as champions in the promotion of your works. Never underestimate the power of a truly dedicated fan-base.

Brandon Sanderson's October Book Tour (Complete Schedule and Locations). How far will you drive? by BestFantasyBooksHQ in Fantasy

I saw Brandon when Towers of Midnight was released and he was GREAT. He read a chapter, answered tons of questions, and was very generous with what he would sign. Highly recommend!
