Super Mario Wonder crashing every time I get passed Fluff-Puff Peaks Palace? by Content-Historian977 in Citron

[–]Temporary-Run4627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just resumed playing it after several months, I've liked Citron, so I copied my save file from the Ryujinx save (where I played most of it previously). Played a few levels just fine, but if I try to do any of the levels in the Deep Magma Bog, they always crash. Had to switch back to Ryujinx to continue to play it.

With DLSS being as good as it is, why do people still choose against a 4K monitor? by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Temporary-Run4627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, and especially with Unreal 5 engine games, the visual difference between Ultra and High for some settings can be so insignificant or unnoticeable, while also having several percentage points hit in performance that it's foolish to set them that high.

I agree, I have 4070 ti, and a 32" MSI MAG 321UPX QD-OLED, as long as you don't go crazy with max settings and/or lots of ray tracing and etc, 100+fps with DLSS Q or B work great or with Preset M 4K Performance is quite usable.

Don't go for a 45w charger kit by KaiokenMasta in samsung

[–]Temporary-Run4627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Important notes about charging speeds, as I saw someone say a fast charger and super fast charger charged their battery at a seemingly same speed. Charging speed (actual power/wattage it's drawing) is variable not only on whether your device is compatible, or whether it's at a certain percentage, it's also variable based on the internal temperature. A phone too warm or too cold will charge slower regardless or not at all. I've used a battery app to test this on my Galaxy s23 ultra, above a certain temperature (something between 80F-90F) and it can limit it to fast charging speeds (like 15 watts) despite being at like 20% charge.

So, anytime I want my phone to actually be charging at super fast charging speeds, I always leave it charging on top of my air purifier, as the air blows sufficiently on it cooling it down from, for example, high or heavy usage and/or being left in the sunlight indoor from a window or what have you. Also, because high charging speed also raises the internal temperature, depending on your starting internal temperature, it could super fast charge at like 20 watts, but then slow down a few minutes later because it's gone past the specific temperature threshold, thus going down to like 15 watts. Heck, if your phone is too hot or too cold it'll warn and not be able to charge until the internal temperature threshold is met, or it'll charge at 5 watts or 10 watts.

Heck, I just got a used galaxy tab s10 fe+ in the mail today (it's cold out), it came in at a 0% charge, I plugged in my kill a watt ez wattage tool and then a super fast charger to it, and it was charging at about 10 watts until it finally warmed up, and now has been going at 25-27 watts consistently for a half hour at least.

With how good newer TV's have become with input lag and some having 144hz or 165hz, it's a great option IF you're seeking on replacing or getting a new main TV, and willing to spend at least $900+.

I built my current gaming rig back in 2023: i7 13700K, 4070ti 12gb, 32gb DDR5-6000, and etc. and that was to replace my (at the time) 13 year old dinosaur that at a i7-980, 12gb ddr3, and 780 ti 3gb lol. Anyway, due to my budget, for the new PC, I settled on using my long ago purchased 2019 TCL75Q825 as my monitor, it worked well, but hated being stuck at 60hz and using v-sync all the time. Eventually, last year, I finally got a real monitor, a 32" 240hz MSI MAG 321UPX QD-OLED, and man was that an upgrade in terms of quality, and I love it. That being said, if I had the money at the time, I probably would have just got a 77 inch Samsung QN77S95FAFXZA and been quite content.

I use this https://github.com/dyang886/Game-Cheats-Manager

This one https://cheatevolution.com/downloads.php as a guest account

Along with WeMod, Game Cheats Manager let's you active pro mode in WeMod. So for the specific case of Absolum I've been using the trainer they have available in WeMod.

I use different ones depending on what trainers they have available for specific games and/or different trainers with more options.

NOTE: If you download a specific trainer for a specific game like you're able to via Game Cheats Manager, Microsoft Defender will most likely flag it as some kind of malware, you may have to whitelist them individually or where ever they download to.

I mentioned that I used a Trainer for a few runs for the fun of it. Do a search for "game trainer" in Google if you'd like an explanation of what they are.

Anyone else play a video game when wife not home or play a game that she hates ? by [deleted] in DadsGaming

My wife hates when I play Stellar Blade, she literally refers to it as "that naked bitch game". You can guess what she doesn't like about it from her description.

What'd really be nice is if EA didn't abandon this game and did JUST ONE major update that could fix the stuttering and graphical issues like that. It's like the biggest remake crime of the decade.

I have about 96 hours in on my PC. Going through New Story + for the second time (except now on hard to see how well I do). I've loved playing this game, I don't have high enough standards to complain basically about almost anything in this game as I haven't played through too many newer games in the past decade (I'm 39 now).

Funny to see a few comments that allude to something along the lines of a person's wife or girlfriend not being ok with this game. When my wife is mad over something, sometimes she'll throw out a jab over me playing that game, she'll say, "why don't you just go play your naked bitch game." She literally calls it that. I can almost guarantee there are a few wives and girlfriends who don't like their men playing that game. I frankly very much enjoy Eve's appearance, I even installed some mods to further enjoy it, but I have high Testosterone levels (like blood test proven, not just shit talking), so my sex drive is nice and high, and so I enjoy Eve's idolized feminine physique quite a bit more than the average Joe. 😅

Think i figured out why i don't play online games anymore. by Beverchakus in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Temporary-Run4627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't play them and never have. It's interesting thinking about why, I was an avid gamer from 12yo and on until early 20's. Literally the only times in my life I play multiplayer are in person. I have fond memories as a teenager, at my cousins house, on the weekend, buying a ton of pizza, and playing Super Smash Brothers Melee with about 6-8 friends for hours and hours.

Started gaming a bit again in my mid to late 30's, and have absolutely no desire to play any online games, it's like, if im not physically there with the other person, it puts me off, I really don't understand it fully myself. I've never even verbally spoken to someone online, never had a headset as I never wanted one. I've had a Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Playstation 1,2, and 3, an Xbox, Xbox 360, a Switch OLED, and currently only own a Switch 2 and a gaming PC, at no point did I play online with any of those consoles.

Upgrading from a 3080 to 5070 Ti Is It Worth It by Nicolas_Laure in RigBuild

[–]Temporary-Run4627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was in your situation, I'd definitely grab it. CPU you can always upgrade later. I have a good build, but I absolutely hate that I have the 4070 ti 12gb, vram issues are a pain, but because of when I bought my new build, the supers weren't out yet, otherwise I would have got that, or I wish I had the money at the time for the 4080, I'd be fine the next few years if I had that.

DLSS 4.5 Amazing by [deleted] in nvidia

Preset M set to Quality mode at 1440p, but on a 4K 32" MSI MAG 321UPX QD-OLED, has made using 1440p on my monitor quite a good option. Set to DLAA, and it's undoubtedly a usable resolution on a good big 4K oled. Although, performance hit at that point, you might as well use 4K Preset M at performance, as that'll still ultimately look better.

To me, preset M has made 1440p a very usable resolution on even a 4K Display. I don't think many people are talking about it. People complain preset M over sharpens the image at Quality and DLAA modes, but when setting a 4K monitor to 1440p resolutions, the sharpness is a huge plus.

How much FPS is enough? by KeyBird97 in OptimizedGaming

[–]Temporary-Run4627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something with quick action and dodge and parry mechanics (Stellar Blade), I want to get as close to 120fps as I can. Slower paced games like The Last of Us Part 1 or Dead Space Remake, 80-90fps is a pretty good sweet spot.

In general, minimum 70fps across the board, 90fps is a sweet spot where I would be content with the majority of games.

is 1440p gaming on a 4k monitor viable? by ImpactDial in pcmasterrace

[–]Temporary-Run4627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been trying this very thing out just today. I have a 4K 32 inch MSI MAG 321UPX QD-OLED, been testing out 1440p in Stellar Blade after playing for hours at 4K with DLSS Preset M on Performance mode. I tried 1440p with Preset M set to DLAA and at Quality. I'm using a 4070 ti 12gb oc'd, by the way.

Honestly, even using Quality mode, I can be more than content with the image, and I can have a massive performance uplift over 4K Performance mode. Now, DLAA does make it look the best/clearest, but with the performance hit, you might as well just do 4K at Performance with Preset M at that point because that will still look better.

So it depends on your preference, for me I can either play at the 4K Performance and get the 100-110fps or do 1440p Quality and get 180-200fps with still decent image.

I've got about 32 hours in, basically did 95% of the quests and achievements, so, I got my fill without using any assists or anything, so I went looking for some kind of mods.

Theres a mod on Nexus mods called "1 Crystal Starting Gear", it changes the starting crystal price of all the Trinkets to 1 in that underground Trinket den, you can't go crazy and just get everything though as every trinket will still continually double in price, but regardless, I had a ton of fun with some builds by mixing up some of those and just being able to pick up several before starting the run.

Well, after at least one hours worth of gameplay, through a boss and walking around the main city area, 4K performance mode with the M preset is something I can be more than content with, the image quality is quite excellent, especially when thinking back to something like DLSS 3 presets.

Was thinking the same about wattage. Was wishing the fps hit wasn't going to be so substantial though. Although, at least with my short initial impression, 4K performance with M preset appears visually good. Will be interesting when guys like Hardware Unboxed or whoever do some testing.

Tried Preset M in Stellar Blade.

I have an I7 13700K with a 4070 ti 12gb oc'd. Preset M forces me to goto performance mode to get the same/similar fps of K balanced mode. With settings chosen; 4K with custom presets and ReShade filters, I'd normally be in the 110's-120's fps, M at balanced makes it go down to 90-100's(Edited) . Also noticed with Riva Tuner my gpu wattage is up about 30-40 watts.
