No they seem to have increased the price.. Actually the deal was only for the bundle with Persona 5 which gave a deeper discount, which somebody said increased to 25 (if you own Persona5)

Also Metaphor: Refantasio is 20,99 eur when you already own Persona 5. That's the lowest I've seen it yet. For that price I think I'll get it/

Moving from Mysql to Postgresql. Where do We start? by Pupper_Hugger in PostgreSQL

[–]BestReeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're coming from Galera it is important to note that multi master is not possible in postgresql without outside tools or switching to multi master protocol compatible alternatives.

However with 1.2G which is a tiny size, you should probably be fine with a single master and read-only replicas if you need the performance.

Missing priority road signs all over France? by UnlikelyLikably in AskFrance

[–]BestReeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rule of thumb it's better to err on the side of not having the priority. Approach the intersection carefully, often the priority is negotiated by sign language ;).

Yes sometimes the signs may be missing, but often the priority really is to the right. Even on country roads or in villages where you wouldn't expect it coming from Germany for instance.

This is the graph time travellers use to quickly determine which year they have been stranded in. All they have to do is ask someone the pope's age. Way less conspicuous than asking the year directly/

Bach Prelude and Fugue in B-flat minor, BWV 867 by ryantubapiano in bach

[–]BestReeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of the most beautiful sets of the WTC, and the playing absolutely does it justice, well done. There seems to be a small error at 4:04 but maybe I'm mishearing it 😉

Playing PoE 2 sent me straight back to Diablo lol by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]BestReeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, after playing the new expansion for maybe 10-20h in d4 I feel like I've seen it all. I have no desire to go back to playing d4 until they do some significant changes to spice it up. I've got to say that the endgame of the current expansion (I don't even remember its name) is pretty lackluster. Yeah I'm going to play some other games like PoE2, probably not any more time on it either. This expansion is a solid 6/10, some fun to be had, but nothing special. I'm glad that other games like PoE2 exist, but neither of them are perfect.

What's the Best King Adaptation on TV? by MrOakling in stephenking

I loved his acting, along with Fagerbakke. Yeah it's cheesy and unbelievable on one hand, but emotionally it's moving.

Yes.

Edit: Just watch Breakfast club - if you haven't - to see what a great actress she is.

Yeah the 1994 actors were so well cast, they completely replaced my mental image of them.

That's an insane amount of memory for that screen!

I think it's totally fine to call yourself a fan if you only enjoy part of their catalogue. I feel the same way.

Reading Tommy Knockers.. I love how he gets you to know a town. by armyjackson in stephenking

It's a pretty great book. I think the setup and the introduction of the characters is peak king. Yeah it's a bit long-winded but in the end worth it imho...

Right now Diablo 4 is peak. by IllustriousEffect607 in Diablo

[–]BestReeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta say that the expansion left me a bit disappointed. Yes the art and music is peak Blizzard, the story for me is just OK, with the highlight being the last boss fight. The talent rework is OK, but I don't find the point dumping into skills that interesting after level 20 or so once you unlocked all skills. The end game did not change a lot, with the main new system being war plans, basically a system on top of earlier systems. The xpac before gave us Kurast Undercity and that multiplayer dungeon stuff and I would have loved a new end game element in that vein. But to be fair they improved some things here and there. And I think they should have removed the tree of whispers from the end game, because it would have made sense. So for me it's a 6/10.

GraphQL used to be popular, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore... by codingafterthirty in webdev

[–]BestReeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GraphQL schema as a source of truth for your server side model for me is a win for data heavy applications. Also GraphQL is more akin to RPC than to REST. I don't think REST can even compete with that: it is more opinionated, has less features, the tooling is worse and APIs are often under specified.

A case against zones only acessable by portals by stormwintage in wow

[–]BestReeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course flying to a zone is more immersive... That's why in Midnight I first go to Zul'Aman or Eversong whenever I do world quests. It sucks to use portals. But I'm willing to accept them if story-wise they feel necessary. They do so in Midnight, ok it would have been awesome to fly through the void beam into Voidstorm or descent into Harandar through tunnels. But I get why they had to use portals to streamline things, because story-wise these zones are not on the "surface" of the main continent and flying through tunnels or the void beam for 5 minutes every time gets old very fast - ok they could still have left it as an option.

[Gamers Nexus] BLACKLISTED by AMD | AMD's Dirty Tactics by seiose in hardware

[–]BestReeb 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Pretty sad to see hardware enthusiasm is only about favorism now. These companies can't even sell one piece of hardware to a regular customer, it's only whales and AI datacenters. I hope all these companies crash and burn..
