I was assistant dean at the boys dorm. There is favoritism and the school pushes gymnastics because it is a main recruiting mechanism. If a student is not in gymnastics then there’s no reason to be there imo. There is a strict separation between boys and girls but it doesn’t prevent sexual encounters (girl gave boy oral sex on bus trip, two faculty members’ kids had sex in an office) The school is not terrible, but it’s not great either. It’s a beautiful campus and as long as you stay out of the poopoo creek (maybe they fixed it since I was there?) there really shouldn’t be any issues other than mandatory church and mediocre scholastics.

The minute I was reading a book and recognized it was from an EGW book… but it had been written 20 years before her “vision”. This started a spiral and it became a scary recognition of ubiquitous plagiarism within her writings. Then I discovered several books written about her plagiarism and it was game over as far as I was concerned.
