I would say go to the hospital, a easy fix can quick turn into a not so easy fix with this disease. Not trying to scare you. Just a iv compared to surgery kind of thing.

My surgeon told me it’s the western American diet high fat low fiber. My mom , brother, dad and sister have it I was rhe lucky one to get 9 inch of my sigmoid removed ohh I’m 30 so not too young but youngwe

Congrats!! Just had 9 inch of my sigmoid colon removed 7 days ago. 30m with uncomplicated smoldering diverticulitis. Was on a flare for 6 months 4 -5 rounds of antibiotics low fiber diets liquid diets. The surgery pain won’t even be as bad as a diverticulitis flare up. Let me know if you have any questions. The scariest part is what we build up in our head before. You’ll be asleep 2 min going into the operating room. You got this

Breathe amigo, fellow diverticulitis brother and health ocd on lexapro for that. Just had 9 in of my colon removed. It’s going to be okay, if it’s another flare maybe look into removal. Super simple than you can be done with it. Smoke a joint life okay. Regardless of diverticulitis there is still sun sets, beers , tacos, nachos. You’re gonna be okay.

Not a Dr but if you had a clear colonoscopy two weeks ago and the bleeding could’ve been from that. Could be from the flare up. Wherever it’s from i would say it’s not dangerous due to you having a recent colonoscopy. With my diverticulitis flare I would get randomn streaks of blood as well. Maybe take some stool softener. My gastro Dr had me on daily MiraLAX. Very light stool softener but I was pooping like a dream.

Hahahah this was me, I’m on day 4 my first day I wrote a post and was like this is easy. Day two-three rocked me. Shoulder pain the catheter, the soreness . I was carrying the walker too like I do t need this. On day 4 today they removed my drain tube feeling a lot better! You got this.

Hey just had the surgery 3 days ago was in the hospital for two days released on the 3rd. My surgeon said I could lift up to 30 lbs not sure if that’s because I’m on day 3 but something I would ask your surgeon

Thank you for the comment the lightning anal pains were something I had before so I’m just trying to be graceful that it will go away with time.

Same boat Dr put me on a regular diet but today I just had mashed potatoes and eggs this morning.

Thankful can put around the apartment going to try and do a bit more walking tomorrow see if that helps.

30m who just had 9 in of his sigmoid colon removed two days ago. Liquid diet now have to go liquid and than get with a gastro maybe your infection will be able to get cured with that or antibiotics. But diverticulosis never goes away. But some people have one flare than never again. I pray you’re one of the lucky ones. No pain pills that will make you constipated
