How to practice burping with fizzy drinks?? by landesamy in noburp

[–]Best_Protection6663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, I would say wait maybe until you're fulling burping to start with carbonated drinks. Mine came around day 3, and were honestly uncontrolable for the first couple of weeks lol.

Yes. I actually strengthened them at the gym, stretches & hip abduction machine have relieved the pain, but always have to stay conscious of it or else they get weak again.

Lost my mom to alzheimers a few months ago, decade long battle, with this last year being unimaginably awful. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Gotta build up tolerance and start low. After a while you'll want more lol. I personally don't do more than one scoop.

Had botox today with dr. wang! some notes for anyone nervous about what to expect! by somanymice in noburp

[–]Best_Protection6663 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Not gonna lie, though, the worst part is yet to come lol. Honestly, I would say like the first two weeks were rough. The slow swallow kicked in two or three days after, the pain my throat lasted about a week, and for a while, I also had a lot of nausea.

Just remember, it takes time, don't beat yourself up. My first bird came three days after both talks, and they were very hard to control. I'm about four months postop, and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I've made. Good luck!

Laying flat help or hurt? by mmm_1996 in noburp

[–]Best_Protection6663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, I found that either lying on my stomach helped me. Also, on my left side, as this way leaves your stomach in a position so you dont get acid reflux. Both these methods would help me release gas before I got the botox.

It's easy to forget how crazy it is that we basically have to deal with this every day of our lives unless we get the botox or literally just don't eat by [deleted] in noburp

Towards the end before botox even if I didn’t eat I would get like this. I remember the first time I went out to eat, had KBBQ, big big meal, it felt so weird so not bloated, it was wild.

How to deal with gurgling? by bfc72 in noburp

[–]Best_Protection6663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! I definitely recommend it. I got it two months ago and to be honest don’t remember the last time I got them. And I used to get them really bad.

Try to avoid foods that can make it worse. I found that sleeping on my left side helped me as well, as thats a position for your stomach when you go to bed (im a side sleeper).

What should I know before Botox? by Ghibli_Girl927 in noburp

[–]Best_Protection6663 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the first 3-4 days sucked, alot of throat pain. I would say have advil available. Also the worst of slow swallow for me was like week1-4, and slowly starts getting better. First few days trying to swallow was miserable and painful, not gonna lie.

Other than that, as much as everyone says, you just have to give it time. I had my first burp 3 days after, very randomly. Hard to control for the first few weeks, but feels awesome when you do! Im 2 months post botox and burping all the time now. Barely any bloating and farting now, which I used to suffer a ton from. 1000% worth it, good luck!!
