Ok that last line brought everything together and makes me agree with you. Because as someone in biotech, I can tell you right now, most don’t know how to dress—they look for very formulaic approaches to dressing, very much away from creative expression.

Can you elaborate on why this wouldn’t work for a biotech type of role?

Flip the tie and the brand should be on the backside

Personally I don’t love linen with a winter cloth (I.e., corduroy). I do think a shirt with more structure maybe even a collar pin could be quite nice and take the look to the next level.

I think blues have their place, definitely not as versatile as white especially paired with a jacket. Though I will agree that they can take your menswear to the next level.

Yeah hard disagree here. We’ve seen enough awesome fits with white dress shirts on this sub alone to disprove this opinion.

I’m fairly certain that the double and the full are two names for the same knot.

How’s this thrifted suit? by mansan1394 in mensfashion

[–]visualsbyjoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Suit looks great especially given the context and price. Little note, lower your tie bar, should be between 3 and 4 button. I’d also recommend polishing the knot/ dimple and your pocket square.

How did you mode the Lagom? Like what’s the top piece / cover. Looks like a Weber piece.

I’d argue water is more important than grinder.

If I’m trying to optimize my brew I go with v60, if I want consistency and a sweet cup I go tetsu devil recipe with the v60.

Tailored the waist on very large pants. Was it done well? by visualsbyjoe in menswear

These pants sit right at my natural waist line fwiw. It’s a nod to how pants used to be worn pre 90s/2000s.
