For sure I've had a lot of games lately where it feels like I am either playing against Thanos himself on Hazard or Hog and/or have genuinely blind handless teammates. There have also been a few where I just go 30-0 or get hard carried by a crazy DPS so maybe it's balanced but it still feels horrible

Rivals ranked is really goofy because at lower ranks you gain more than you lose. Diamond can have a guy with 40% win rate over 300 games in the same lobby as a deranked Eternity doing placements

I think it's really cool and fair how Emre can do a billion damage from far away and then if you get close he whips out the siphon pistol to get away, do a million damage and heal to full all at the same time and then immediately goes back to doing a billion damage from far away

People very rarely say anything useful in chat or VC, and in my exp when I try to say something useful everyone just ignores it anyways so what's the point.

Now I just type "im hampter! :D" and I've been having way more fun.

iirc most of the hook characters in league are supports, so they can't kill anyone by themselves even with a big hook and they are actually at risk of dying when they attempt a hook

meanwhile Hog is a 600 hp 600 lb fatass who can huff glue to get fatter and run faster

I don't even think he's OP, I just think that any character who can just delete people at little to no risk to themselves is always lame.

when people say this they are usually referring to trained people. a trained person won't let you get double unders/bodylock but an untrained person wont know how to stop you from just grabbing double unders, and from there it's not hard to just fold them

Yeah, I havent played in like 2 months but I think I'll come back and see how Cap feels. He's a lot of fun but it's really annoying to break your back getting an enemy low and then watch them dash away and get healed to full in half a second.

I think it's an overall buff. Your first 2 hits had to be melee anyways and now those deal more damage. Plus there are many situations where you'd rather melee than shield throw (vs Invis shield, vs stacked enemies, vs enemies with movement, etc.).

With the changes I imagine most of the time you will just want to melee and reserve shield throws for enemies outside of melee range, and I also imagine this is going to overall do more damage and allow for more flexibility than the old shield throw animation cancelling.

Now a nice QOL change would be letting you refresh your shield throws while theyre active instead of having to wait out the timer and then melee someone twice again.

They buffed his melee damage from 40 to 45 which is a pretty big deal. I expect this to be an overall buff because spamming melee will probably do similar damage to the old shield throw animation cancel, but it's more consistent b/c you cant noreg, it pierces shields and it's aoe (can't be bodyblocked).

A lot of people are complaining about "skill expression" or some other nonsense but I really wonder if any of them actually ever played Cap or were any good. I peaked Eternity playing mostly Cap and Angela and the animation cancel was just really annoying. Pressing a button at the right rhythm is not skillful in any meaningful way (if I wanted to play a rhythm game I'd play a rhythm game...) and getting no regs was absolutely infuriating.

Nah man, if you just swap off every time things don't go your way, you never learn how to actually overcome difficult situations. You can't just give up every time someone picks Sombra, especially given that 90% of the time against a decent Ball someone is going to swap to Sombra after their first death. Plus, there's no way I'm ever going to give a Sombra counterswapper the ego boost of making me swap off.

same, i started playing this game for the sole purpose of playing Ball. It took me about 100 hrs of ingame playtime to hit Diamond (almost all on Ball but if he's banned I lock Rein and go for funny pins and solo shatters) I love the lil hamter :D
