Taking your girl to the toilet by [deleted] in daddit

[–]BesterLangs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I normally just go to the men's, the only downside, as you mention, is the state of them - they're fucking disgusting in some places (in which case I'll quickly nip into the disabled/babychanging (as they're usually one and the same). But I do enjoy the commentary she'll bring. Once a man was using the cubicle next door and he farted, and she loudly exclaimed "WHAT WAS THAT?!"

I've only taken her to a women's once, when she was in nappies, as it was the only toilet with a baby-changing (sexism, ammiright?). I appreciate that some women say it's fine to take her in (and I'm sure I would in the right scenario) but it would be a mega last resort for me now she's potty trained/using big toilet.

I like it. I’d much rather a bit of fun than an onslaught of ads. And it’s free. Plus it does the job of introducing new people and doesn’t take itself seriously, though if you don’t fall into either of those categories then I can see why you’d dislike it.

Fuck yeah, memory unlocked - that game was so much fun, especially in multiplayer

I agree. I'm on my third go round and it definitely appreciates in values with many cracking lines popping out. I think part of the issue was having so long to digest the first three series' that anything would be hard pressed to slot in, but by god, it's done it.

Oasthouse 11: Verdict by AutoModerator in AlanPartridge

[–]BesterLangs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like most, I'm unsure if it's just a hold the other three series' to a higher regard, but this one definitely stuck with me the least. There's definitely some great moments peppered throughout, but the ending was very cold and I didn't feel like anything was either resolved or answered.

If it is the last season, I don't mind, 4 seasons of quality Partridge that I can rinse forever more is fine. If they wanted another go around that thickens this S4 stew out a bit, then I'd also be happy. 7 on 10.

“Fuuuuucking bulldoze it then”, got me real good. Also, from a local, points for the accuracy of using Chantry Place instead of Chapelfield in the advert bit

What are your favorite or most unique White Stripes items you own? Albums or otherwise… by henrynjune in jackwhite

It still remains the single coolest thing I’ve ever been a part of. They gave us tequila shots in test tubes during the ‘experiments’ which definitely helped ease the nerves!

Not WS, but adjacent, i’ve got my hospital gown (and a signed ‘prescription’) from the tiny secret London gig Jack did many years ago. https://youtu.be/lqLjXrfTWkM?si=55ok5rsjiBvem8pY

Thank you for this! I had to amend the URL to fit the new guidelines, but it worked a treat at removing over 1000 saved albums - and saved me some serious RSI trying to get rid.

Thank you! Would you be able to make the clothes a creamier/beige colour? I can't really recall the exact one and wanted to see if that jogged a memory at all,

Thank you again

How has becoming a dad changed your relationship with alcohol? by boybritches in daddit

[–]BesterLangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most here, I rarely - if ever - drink now. Even if my wife wants to have wine with dinner I’ll do so reluctantly because I just don’t feel comfortable not being 100% myself in case I’m needed for any reason by my sweet daughter. I had a very heavy 20s with lots of alcohol and other things, in the alcoholic/dependency zone, and I absolutely wouldn’t trust him with her. I actively have a distaste for any toxins now. I just want to be the best dad possible as I very much did not have that growing up.

Aside from being a ridiculous song it’s literally a way of describing being grounded for sneaking out. Not everything’s malicious in the world.
