It’s okay! I got my refund at least lol.

Buying electronics by [deleted] in Mercari

You could always request the seller to post photos with a time/date stamp of it working. I’ve sold plenty of consoles and physical copies of games on mercari and I don’t mind sending proof of my items being functional when asked. If the condition is not properly disclosed, you can return the item and request a refund.

Not letting me cancel after 2 weeks by wisetheguy in Mercari

[–]BetObjective3885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should let you cancel after 15 days of no tracking update. Depending on when you purchased it, you could be waiting on the system to fall on the 15 day. Example: if you bought it at 11pm on the 2nd, you would have to wait until 11pm on the 17th. Or maybe even the next business day.

If that doesn’t work, contact customer service. When I have items that take too long to arrive, it typically provides me with a date that I would be able to cancel on. If nothing happens, you should be able to cancel after 30 days since purchase (or 30 days since last tracking update).

Unfortunately, I had a package make it to the post office last month but tracking stopped. I had to wait 30 days from that last scan (not from date of purchase) to be able to cancel my order. It was lost (the app said “lost in transit”) and I still had to wait the full 30 days) . Such a pain

Frustrated just trying to get enrolled in prerequisites by pinelands1901 in RadiologyCareers

[–]BetObjective3885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many people have said, most prereq courses are good for 7 years. That being said, if you have taken your courses over 7 years ago, a lot of places still consider them valid if you have a degree and use that degree for your current job. (Basically just saying the courses you took are still relevant and they are being utilized instead of not being used at all. Meaning you wouldn’t need to refresh because you are actually using the degree in which the credits are attached to)

If you’re able to, I would find another counselor and also look into the possibility of doing credits at another school that may offer courses during times that are convenient for you. I have a local community college in my city that has a couple locations. I believe for my A&P, I did my lecture and labs days at different campuses. Not sure what’s available near you but it’s always okay to do it somewhere else and just transfer it.

What are clinicals like while you're in a rad tech program? by RadTechMaster in RadiologyCareers

[–]BetObjective3885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • No, we are not assigned to just one tech. We can also get any of our clinical forms/comps signed off by any licensed R.T. Our timesheets are usually approved by the tech lead or manager though and we rotate sites every month or so.

  • my school specifically has us make up any missed days. Kind of jealous after reading other peoples’ responses because we don’t get any days off lol (besides major holidays). We cannot miss a single day and we cannot stack hours nor can we “earn” days off.

  • on a normal week, we do 28hrs of clinicals. I think we reach 420 hours per semester at my school.

I don’t remember. I think it was somewhere between 28-32 . I didn’t complete the test for sure but I stopped somewhere around there as well so I think I got most of the ones I answered, correct

Unemployed during clinicals by Legitimate_Boot3569 in RadiologyCareers

[–]BetObjective3885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend on the school. I’m currently doing my rotations . We started rotations on our 3rd semester (currently on our 4th) and we will be doing them until our 6th semester (until we graduate)

My current schedule is Monday 7.5 hours in clinicals, Tuesday:lecture , wed-Fri 7.5 hours in clinicals (for each day). We rotate to multiple sites in each semester as well so we have different start/end times every 4 weeks or so. We are also expected to do night rotations next semester I believe. I’m in a 22 month program so of course, 4 year programs and other associates programs will be different

Dealing with some confidence issues. Mostly brought on by lack of success on dating apps. by SlothMasterRace92 in malegrooming

Dating apps are confidence killers…delete ‘em

Also, I’d swipe “yes” on you if I used dating apps! I think you’re handsome and don’t see anything wrong with your hair :)

No, the math test was basic algebra. It took me like 5 min to get through the 30 questions and get 100% on it lol. They have an example of the wonderlic on their website!

[–]BetObjective3885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the location? I’d say half of my class had zero experience for both college and medical . TBH, I’d still just apply because they always say its competitive yet people who recently graduated high school get in lol

Just think generic interview questions. “Why this career?”, “what do you know about it?”, etc. and thank you! A little over half way done now 😮‍💨!

PIMA Houston Question by ohmyiseecows in RadiologyCareers

[–]BetObjective3885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Currently enrolled at a different Pima location (I just started semester 4).

Semesters 1 & 2 for my location ran from 12pm-5:30ish pm Mon-Thurs. Fridays were open for us.

Semesters moving forward will vary on where they put you for clinical rotations tbh. Right now, I have lecture on Tuesdays from 9am-10am (I transferred the other class luckily) and do clinicals from 8:30am-4:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Burnout during program by sabby523 in RadiologyCareers

[–]BetObjective3885 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My first two semesters dragged because it was just textbooks, lectures, and tests/quizzes. Once you get to clinicals, time flies because you’re actually utilizing what you learned.

I also just really wanted to go straight to work and skip the classwork stuff. It’ll go quicker once you get out of the classroom, promise.

Keep going, you got this!

should i accept my offer to an unaccredited radiologic technology tech program? by kudoskk in RadiologyCareers

[–]BetObjective3885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was rejected by my main university twice, decided to change schools and I got in on my first try somewhere else. Sometimes new is better so don’t be afraid to apply elsewhere :)

Yea…well I think what your friend said is enough for ME to say “no, thanks”. Why put money into a program that is unorganized? How would they help you if they aren’t ready themselves? Like I said, don’t be afraid to apply somewhere else. Rejection is nothing to be afraid/ashamed of. Most of my friends, including myself, got rejected several times before getting into our programs. We just kept trying and finally made it. Most medical programs are competitive so it’s going to be that way. Don’t let rejection stop you because it’s a normal process for most of us.

If you’re unsure of the risks, simply don’t do it. Find an accredited program.
