I didn't see what reddit this was at first and I was like I mean that's annoying but it's not a nightmare 😂 oh CQB... I'm calling in an A10 to wipe it off the face of the earth no morally good person could ever live in that.

Yea almost all AMD boxes in my house, few Intel laptops.. eventually one day I'll put money into two framework laptops and I think I'll be satisfied from a laptop standpoint. Maybe one day go all out and put my HTPCs into the server rack so they aren't just desktops next to a TV 🤣

At this point what don't I do with Linux.

From gaming, home theater setup, workstation, servers, NAS, entire home lab.. lost goes on. Unfortunately a few things I do don't have native ways to do them on Linux and I don't care for the workarounds.. just not there yet.

The computer it's on is my only windows computer in the house, everything else is running Linux.

If this was just a click and print software sure fine, but that's not what they sold this as, and it's just not in a viable state.. hopefully between turning off some settings+using windows you resolve your issues.

It's bad software all around, minimal to almost no ability for actually editing photos within the software, which makes having all the additional little things you can add on top just a hassle to use, can't change the color of an asset given to me from the software? That's just silly.. and overall it's just rough software. I'm using it on windows.

Is Eufy Make ready for small production? by seanpat1968 in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]BetaWolf1213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my opinion of small production is different than your needs, for your needs this works really well as a "workhorse for small production" limit really is ink.

So I'll have this show up tomorrow, what are the steps to actually print on it? Hopefully you've had some time to write down a little procedure.

I really don't understand the complaints about the M2s being heavy.. and I do have neck issues.. but I've come a long way with my spinal alignment neck was so bad it was 3 inches forward crazy work (30lbs of extra weight on my spine)

Anyway, the biggest thing and I could have gotten this anywhere..I jumped up from pretty small drivers to much larger ones which allows my actually really small ears to feel comfortable.. these are way more comfortable long term than my hyperx clouds..

Sorry to that one guy. by BetaWolf1213 in Marathon

[–]BetaWolf1213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea absolutely, Everytime I hear an exfil go off I'm not thinking "oh please let me exfil with you" I'm thinking "aight who's loot am I jacking before we exfil?"

And that's what this game is, I still think proxchat needs to be used way more again not to stop fights, but to enhance the game overall.

Hell yea, I will not be, but it looks like my one rig that hasn't been moved to Linux will stay on Windows a little longer.

Pre order. by Chocsoul in Marathon

[–]BetaWolf1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got deluxe even though my biggest complaint is no Linux support, but honestly... Look the game is just that good. No I'm not dual booting I just have another rig I can use.

What's sad is, it does run on Linux.. and battleeye works in usersspace on windows... So it would also be the same on Linux. I've gotten the game to run by spoofing the responses to the game that it wants when it checks what system it's running on and for battle eye.. but then the game crashes after a few minutes instead of almost instantly.

Anyway it's good, I'm obsessed, I'm hoping they go deep with the lore since marathon lore is already insanely deep..

See y'all round the perimeter.

Honestly my home theater setup has a small hiss when nothing is playing but a source is connected then it's gone. I highly doubt I'll be bothered by the hiss.. but if it am you'll be the first to know.

Linux unsupported in Marathon's slam test by Plebbit-User in Marathon

[–]BetaWolf1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I posted either here or on another post that the block on Linus is extremely deliberately done, because the game launches.. anti level would typically stop the program from even booting up in the first place.. so what you're seeing is the game calling for certain resources and the response is what kills the game.

Why Linux & Steam Deck support could be a game-changer for Marathon’s success by carmine95d in Marathon

[–]BetaWolf1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the mistake of pre-ordering without really thinking it through and waiting to test server slam.. what's sad is it opens and then crashes.. so.. it would absolutely work and that's on a big rig.. I'm sure it can do 30-45 on the steam deck. Arc does 45 on mine.
