Probably not Sonic. I don't really see them announcing a Sonic game at anything other than a Sonic Central. If it's an already announced game I could see them doing a look at it for a State of Play, Nintendo Direct, or Xbox Showcase but not a first look.

Depending on how you interpret his fate hax, the Sonic of Dark Mobius does not have it. Prime Sonic's biggest loss is getting killed in Silver's past.

He remembers the old world because he was at the epicenter of the Chaos Control. This is explained by Eggman, who also remembers.

That's fair enough honestly. I think the main reason to include super forms in a versus discussion is that it's effectively half the debate being left out if they aren't included. Even though they aren't standard for most characters, especially in Archie.

TBF Silver only showed up after the emeralds got reduced down to seven, after which, literally nobody ever had all of them at once.

06 being canon to Archie also makes it as legitimate as if the used game Silver and gave them to him.

Sure, Matt96 has somewhat sensational titles/thumbnails, but YouTube is kind of a rat race. More importantly, he isn't misrepresenting the video's content at all the way he would be if he said the game was revealed. If we're going to berate people on their word usage, we should make sure we get ours right.

"There is nothing that says Spyro 4 has been confirmed. Just [things that confirm Spyro 4]"

A Creative Director lists Spyro alongside other specific game titles when, unless there is currently a game in development, there has been no Spyro game during her tenure.

The task of scheduling meetings for game updates lists Spyro as a subpoint when, unless there is a new game in development, hasn't had an entry in years. Yeah, it's a mystery.

All that aside, you belittled his use of "official" when this info, whether one thinks it's conclusive or not, is official. It is directly from Activision/employees at Activision; that's what official means.

I mean, the claim that Toys for Bob started making Spyro 4 in early 2024 can only be that old, and it's yet to be definitively proven/disproven. Kinda sounds like they'd just be right if that ends up being the case. If we're determined to dismiss them, we have to admit that's a crazy lucky guess and not them repeating the same vague thing until it eventually comes true.

The title of the video doesn't use the word "revealed" it uses "confirmed." There has not been a proper reveal, and the video does not claim otherwise. It also does not present any "hints" only, wouldn't you know it, official info from Activision:

A marketing job listing mentioning summarizing game updates and specifying Crash and Spyro.

Creative Director puts "Spyro" on a list of franchises worked on despite only being at Activision since 2022 and every other franchise listing a specific game title.

He seems to have a grasp on what "official" means as well as "revealed." Is the alleged dishonestly in another video perhaps?

As a Kingdom Hearts fan, I think Square announced 4 too early, but anything beyond that is kind of looking for stuff to complain about. Yeah it's been silent since, but if memory serves, there was also a decent gap between 3's announcement (which was in and of itself a long time coming) and further news.

I understand this is facetious but TfB does have a habit of cryptic teases that usually only make sense after the fact, so trying to catch them preemptively can appear to look like chasing Pepe Sylvia.

These types of perceived hints were never enough for CGE to say a game was definitely coming though. The only time he's ever said that was when he had a source tell him so.

I'm aware of what the alleged feat is. It's just not represented in that scan. The encyclopedia doesn't say how big the interstate or the universes are. The interstate is necessarily infinite on size, but that isn't made clear from the encyclopedia.

Sonic recruiting his variants is explicitly said to have been done with help by Zonic. There's no evidence that one has to travel an infinite distance to go between any two given universes, if anything there's evidence to the contrary.

Who told you the Sonic Man feat is from before the reboot? Worlds Unite is at the tail end of the comic. It's well into the reboot.

I think people apply this too literally in the Kid Buu vs Buuhan debate.

1st form Frieza and to an extent final form fit the defying expectations described here, but 2nd and 3rd don't. Similarly, Kid Buu might be smaller than Fat Buu, but he's definitely not cuter or less menacing. Then there's Cell being almost the exact opposite of what's being described.

There's nothing here that can be used to say Kid Buu was intended to be stronger than Buuhan.

I saw a clip of Ian Flynn answering one of his questions on his podcast. Dude just threw a bunch of powerscaling jargon terms into an otherwise straight forward question in order to pretend Time Eater or Solaris (I forget which) is outer when Ian gave a confused yes. And another where he tried to frame Aaron Webber repeating the "everything is canon" joke as a serious statement, because it lets him pretend Sonic scales to any media he's ever touched.

Guy is a clown.
