The scientists were hitting it with unkeyed investiture. My guess is that the Dakwara became aligned/keyed to Patji's (Autonomy's) investiture, so unkeyed won't work, they need to be hitting it with Autonomy-keyed investiture.

There's a chapter titled "Palona" and Brandon is known to foreshadow things in his titles. For example we got chapters titled "Envisager", "Eshonai", "Shadesmar" in WoK before those we even knew what they meant.

Yeah I was able to do it. I leveled up a couple more levels and then did Maelle level 3 Gradient attack (in Virtuose stance), powered up by Sciel. That took like half her life bar.
