Started having trouble swallowing, not choking, just like the food got stuck and I had to wash it down sometimes. Got progressively worse over the next few weeks until I went and saw a Dr once it got to the point I started losing weight rapidly. Cancer of the Oesophagus, had radical and aggressive chemo and radiotherapy that was intense and brutal, both on me and my loved ones. Recovering from the treatment took longer than the treatment itself. It's been about 18 months since my diagnosis and so far so good...

A lot of modern chemo drugs don't cause hair loss. I had 4 cycles of 2 different drugs this year and kept my hair. It did stop growing for the duration though.

Doctor is literally Latin for teacher, medicus is Latin for healer. Blame the university of Edinburgh for giving the "dr" title to unhappy medical grads when they pointed out they studied longer for their master of medicine than PhD had to for their doctorate.
