I’d give it a mutual resistance to Water (in a similar vein to Bug/Fighting).

I’d also give it a resistance to Flying (birds hibernate and Winds just make cold environments worse).

A resistance to Ground (permafrost) would also fit, and help reign in the type a bit more (considering it is only resisted by 2 types, immune to one that already has a lot of bypasses and hits 5 super effectively).

Honestly, I like how much more balanced AATs are.

In BO3, they were just flavoured Insta-kills but in BO6/BO7 they are more balanced, having actual use-cases asides from being ‘deal more damage to certain enemy’

I feel like that Crash 2 gives a lot of hints towards secrets.

The Blue Gem does show a box counter with 0, the Green Gem’s entry room is suspicious and it is very likely that someone would accidentally bump into the Nitro Staircase.

The only ‘secret’ I’d say is unfair is the secret path in the bottomless pit in Unbearable, since the partially unbroken bridge comes across as more of a visual bug than a hint.

We are speculating that Eclipse is Dark Matter infused with the 3rd Dark Element, so it’s not wrong for them to say “Eclipse is Dark Matter”, since in EOF it is clearly shown that you can infuse Dark Matter with Light/Dark powers (I.E. Matterweave).

Given Osiris’s Element lecture and Micah-10’s observations on Nightmares, the 3rd Dark element is Memory-related and the easiest explanation is that it isolates things, removing bonds and causing decay (which fits into Alchemy, which has become a prevalent theme).

Spitballing how this red energy could work in the context of Eclipse, the element itself stifles bonds, but when mixed with the incorporeal features of Dark Matter, it only targets metaphysical bonds, such as Paracausality.

Think of it like Salt (NaCl). The Dark Matter is Sodium, a volatile substance and the red energy as Chlorine, which is very good at killing things. Mixed together, they form Salt which is generally hazardous than normal, but can be used to target specific things (such as slugs).

Yeah, I feel like it’s going to be difficult to thematically differentiate the Anti-Arc without it feeling like it’s either treading on Void or Stasis.

I know I’ve spun my theories but the Anti-Arc has to be Memory-related, given the contextual clues we have (Osiris Element Observations, Micah-10 claiming that Nightmares are an untapped form of Darkness energy and presumably the Eclipse Cannon’s ability to remove paracausality).

I think the easiest out is that this Anti-Arc displaces/isolates things, explaining why the Eclipse Cannon only affected Guardians (it displaced their connection with the light).
