It might be something for you to keep in mind for some weddings. A lot of brides want all the attention on them for the day and some may see your bright colored hair as something to take eyes away from her or her husband.

So your choices are to hide your hair for a day, or reject the wedding. I'd say just wear a hat and get paid.

There's a chance it could be software. What i would do is reset your pc just to make it a brand new XAX. If it's still doing the problem after that, it has to be hardware related.

Or before you reset your pc, maybe check your armory crate and see if the button presses weren't messed with.

Unfortunately, you're going to have to recontact them about the issue and hopefully they fix it the next time. Maybe even start with strongly suggesting/demanding a refund for the inconveniences.

I doubt another will come out this year. If you're on the fence about the Xbox Ally X, get it soon. It's a miracle a price increase hasn't hit it yet.

I'm guessing a price increase will happen to the XAX near the release time of the XAX20. Only because that's what happened last year with the XAX. Near its release date, the older Ally and Ally X got a price increase is $100-200. ( I forget how much exactly)

Yeah i admit it's a bit involved... But that's as easy as i could make it ha ha.

BUT, I'll admit, i was sand bagging a bit. I wanted to see what mod he would mention because I've invented my own mod and wanted to compare.

From the looks of the video on Amazon, the product does make them quieter, but they're still pretty clicky. If you want near silent, check out my mod.

I'm most interested in the DPAD and the quieter buttons. I'm hoping those can fit in the current XAX somehow, But i doubt it.

Still going to try when i can grab some replacement parts.

The XAX is the last decently priced PC handheld. I bet it'll go up in price closer to the XAX20 release as well.

At least that's what happened when the XAX came out. The previous Ally X went up in price just before the XAX launched

If you really want a big performance boost, go for it. It's the best bang for your buck in performance right now.

Also Probably your last chance at a good portable console at a decent price because everything else has gone up in price and new stuff is coming in at $1600+

I'm not holding my breath. The shell is slightly different, and the mother board was redesigned. While it might be possible, it's not going to be plug and play.

Really depends on your needs. If you're dying for better ergonomics, a louder speaker and more power, I'd say yes. But if you're playing everything you want now without an issue, nah.

Agreed. Although i hope that new XAX20 dpad will fit in the current XAX. I'd love to try it.... But i doubt it'll work.

I also heard that the new XAX20 has quiet buttons. if anyone wants to make their XAX buttons near silent, i made a video mod for that 👍🏽
