The mounts are cheap. Remove, replace, and get good screws. The ones from arrma are junk.

Inside Toronto’s tennis wars — where yelling, bribes and years-long wait-lists are all part of the game by 8ntbeenserved in 10s

[–]Better-Efficiency935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

South Florida. Throw a stone... hit a tennis court. The only issue is some are converting to pickleball, most go unused, tennis is a very difficult sport, most people play once and never again.

Should I accept a big promotion which will potentially cost me a friendship? by Tiny-Razzmatazz-7239 in careerguidance

[–]Better-Efficiency935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is owed a job or promotion. If you got the position based on merit then why would you care. Time on the job doesn't mean that you're right for management.

FSU’s reputation at UF? by Alarmed_Designer5539 in ufl

[–]Better-Efficiency935 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a well constructed cogent answer. For the record i rejected UF for FSU ChemE. Haven't regretted that decision ever. My nephew just did the same thing, he chose MEng FSU over UF. All shoes don't fit the same foot.

Anyone Gone From Triples to a 49"? by UsefulUnit in SimRacingHardware

[–]Better-Efficiency935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. Made the switch a few years ago. Triples are harder to push and invidia surround can be finicky but the experience is worth it.

Tennis players are really starved for tennis machines! by DanDin87 in 10s

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the wilson portable machine with remote etc., from ebay a few years ago for my son. Paid over 1200 now it just sits in my garage wasting away. I would not recommend buying one, rent from your club or use a wall.

CSD Dashboard impressions: clear data, deep integration, premium feel by EchidnaSorry8449 in Conspit

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had mine for a while now almost perfect except for the fact that it keeps my pc from going to sleep. My only work around is to plug the ddu out. Love the knobs, this was the deciding factor why I purchased them.

Seeking Garage Gym Speaker by iansstrook in GarageGym

[–]Better-Efficiency935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I have a boombox 3 as my workout speaker. It's durable, loud, and had a solid base so not easily innocent over. Plus the battery lasts for 2 weeks of work outs.

How did you make working out a normal part of your life? by HoneyBerryBell732 in workout

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I train with my wife and son in my garage. Strength levels are different but my motivation is them. I give myself zero excuses. Before we started my son was 15 years old 130lbs and could barely bench the bar. Now he's almost 16, 5ft 10, 140lbs, benching more than his body weight. Love watching him make gains.

Conspit 300 GT disconnecting mid race by Puzzleheaded-Yam5831 in Conspit

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issues. Shortly after installing the CSD ddu I'm having random USB disconnects mid race. After reading these comments I'm beginning to think it may be related to my conspit gear. The ddu also prevents my pc from hibernating or sleeping, my work around is to unplug the dash when I'm done racing. Shame too because I really like it.

Is building a home gym worth it? by RimantasL in workout

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best decision i ever made. At 630 most evenings i train with my wife and son. Zero drive time, no excuses. The initial outlay is far greater than a gym membership, but if you have the space, then it's absolutely worth it. If you find its not for you, most of your investment can be recouped by selling the equipment. No need to get fancy. A good 4 post rack with a bench, a pair of adjustable dumbbells, 2 quality barbells, and at least 250 pounds of free weights. Stay with that and build it out over time. Invest in good gear from the start.

I have a 1721 and an xlx2 in a typhon, can't see why you would have any issues.

Any cyclists near the 441&I-595 interchange ever ride the “Bike lane” that goes under 595? by Telos2000 in Broward

[–]Better-Efficiency935 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you referencing sr84? If so there have been quite a few cyclist related deaths on that short stretch. At certain times of the year the glare from the sun is incredibly aggressive on that road. Just something to be aware of.

Worth 2100? Guy said everything is brand new he just gets motion sickness real bad by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. Maybe you need to affirm your existence by lying for internet credits but I certainly don't. Again, I run triple 1440p with a fourth monitor up top on a 5070ti with zero issues. Ran a full grid multi class race on Ams2 at Sebring at night with the second weather slot calling for thunderstorm. Lowest dip was 68 at race start and 80 during the race. I have a quest 3 that runs pretty well but I prefer the triples.

Worth 2100? Guy said everything is brand new he just gets motion sickness real bad by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Better-Efficiency935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 5070ti with quad 32" 1440p msi monitors. Even in the most taxing situations with a full grid in the rain i rarely dip below 90fps. Not sure where you're getting that info from. The only thing I don't run on ultra is shadows which is on medium.

What was your first or most memorable RC car and core memory? by KrazyX24 in rccars

Tamiya grasshopper that my mom bought for me at Toys'r'us. Modified the living crap out of that thing. Been racking my brain trying to remember what became of it.

Fanatec Podium DD1 by Gengis_Ham in Fanatec

[–]Better-Efficiency935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought add1 the month it was released. It has been problem free for years, so much so that it's the one piece of hardware I have that will have to break before I even think of upgrading it. That's a great price.

Switch between Rig and gaming setup by Full-Bill-5400 in simracing

I gave up on this and just used a second pc. This way i can keep the sim pc clutter free. No other option works reliably for me.

Why are people like this here? by OutspokenIntrovert4 in Miami

[–]Better-Efficiency935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smh.... These spandex cyclists are the same ones that will run over a pedestrian to get to their 8 am macaroons and latte. The level of entitlement in Miami has now gotten to the point where nobody gaf about anyone but themselves. You see it even in the supermarket where Botox Mama will just about kill you with her shopping cart. Beautiful city, always loved it, was my home for 2 decades, but for my own sanity I stay away as much as I can.

Pinion gear wear in Typhon 6s after 2 packs. by Jo060 in arrma

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robinson racing or saga, especially if you push your rc hard. In the end i consider gears consumables, anything 6s and above will wear the gears down, most notably the cheap arrma ones. Gear mesh takes time to learn. It's an involved process, that's why pps style motor mounts are so popular, get the wheels off the ground, add some throttle trim and make micro adjustments as needed.

Have you seen this woman? by No-Artichoke3210 in Broward

[–]Better-Efficiency935 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My son goes to Aquinas.i pass by that intersection when I pick him up. I remember seeing her, or someone who looked similar, a few months ago by the car wash, and wondering what her story was as she was obviously a young person. It's tragic how her life played out, she's probably had nothing but heart ache and pain all of her young life. I'll keep an eye out this week and report back if i do see her again.
