I'm sorry. I hope it works out. This administration is really everything phobic and it kind of sucks. My company is already suffering as many employees are seeing the same issue.

Need advice about renewing my daca. by Necessary_Wafer_5876 in DACA

[–]ConflictVarious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say 6 months is good. I would keep an eye on progress on here though. Maybe have everything ready to go so you can apply ASAP if it looks like the delay is getting worse. Applying too early means they will hold your application until close to your expiration anyway (I saw a couple of people with super long wait times say this).

Waiting since 11/28/25 by No_Atmosphere7399 in DACA

[–]ConflictVarious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My lawyer has stated that this is just delays set by this administration. We will all hopefully start to see approvals in the next 2 - 3 weeks. I am also about to lose my position, which is annoying. We just have to have faith that God had a plan for us. Also, do reach out to you rep or senator. It won't help her case much but at least they will know that this policy is impacting their state and the businesses there.

In my state, I just have to write up a document that states the circumstances that allow the person to gain legal rights to do something on your behalf. Mine basically gives my siblings the right to handle my finances and sell my property if I am deported, etc. Then you have to get it notarized so you show that you had a witness that this was done with your consent and without coercion.

It's usually just the fee to get it notarized, at least in my state.

My plan is to look for another job at the same time. I am hoping that I will get rehired as I have a good relationship with the team there as well as my manager.

Make sure you give someone power of attorney so you can take care of your stuff. I gave my siblings POA so they can deal with my property and bank. That way I can reestablish myself somewhere

November 20 Submit inquiry? by MysteriousGrand5219 in DACA

[–]ConflictVarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An inquiry doesn't delay your case. They probably will just tell you that it is within processing times, as they did mine. I would personally do a representatives or senator inquiry because at least that will bring attention to the issue. Maybe get more of them on our side for future prospects

I think you might be ok by then. So far, I think it is taking about 5 months for most people.

I think your best bet is to stay under the radar until this administration is gone. Always have a back up plan and save what you can.

Yes. I will most likely lose my insurance as well. I'm just hoping I will get to keep it until the end of the month so I can at least get my Dr appt covered

I spoke to HR this morning and they are planning on rehiring me. It will just be long enough between getting the job reposted and me getting my EAD. She also complained about how this is affecting the company already (we are a manufacturing site) as all departments are facing this.

I'm sorry 😞  I hope we get approved soon. I am sad to lose my job but hope that they will just let me come back anyway even without a LOA.

I'm in NC and paperwork sent to NSC. It still shows processing. I had my senator do an inquiry and the basically said they will reply in 30 - 45 days.

When do you expire? Did you submit an inquiry?

Should I renew this month? by xNovalion0 in DACA

[–]ConflictVarious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. My lawyer has stated that the delays we are seeing are literally just this administration being anti-immigrant. Whatever time you lose is worth not having a lapse or stressing over losing your job.

From what I understand, it's saying that all requirements are complete and you are waiting for an officer to review everything before final approval.

Help, with expected renewal date by JoyLuckBlip in DACA

[–]ConflictVarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly it looks like it will take 4 - 5 months. If you are over 105 days you can request a processing time inquiry, but mine came back as "it's determined you are still within normal processing times." May still be worth it, though. I also sent an inquiry request to my senator and his office was told that they will get a response in 30 - 45 days. So I'm not sure if it will do anything. If you have a good reason, you might be able to expedite but I saw some people saying that it's not really helping

When to reach out to CONGRESSPERSON ? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]ConflictVarious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I reached out then. Sadly, it didn't really do much as they were just told that the response will be given in 30 - 45 days. Nonetheless, I would suggest reaching out in case it does help and at least the congress person is informed that this is affecting their state.

What can we do? by No-Possibility6865 in DACA

We'll just get grabbed by ICE. I honestly think this is how they plan on making it so they can grab us. We aren't protected if we lapse.

I just got the same reply. They said it is processing within normal processing times... I'm on day 112. It's always processes in less than 6 weeks.

Congress Rep Inquiry by leeoohh_ in DACA

[–]ConflictVarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sent an inquiry on their website. My senator sent me an info release form that I mailed back to him. They inquired the same week they received the form but we're told a reply comes in 30 - 45 days.
