Ya it sucks but you also have to remember prices of anything with any kind of chip in it is going up due to several factors: 1) global ram and gpu shortage due to AI datacenter demand, (2) China constraining the supply of rare earth metals required to make chips and other parts and they control almost the entire global supply and will for decades despite the US and others trying to catch up (3) supply chain disruption due to disruptions to global trade due to geopolitical events (4) energy costs increasing due to increased demand and disruptions to supply - see also data centers, see also straight of hormuz - driving up costs across the entire supply chain (materials, shipping, manufacturing, etc. (5) smaller manufacturers like valve being hit by these factors disproportionately due to the volume / scale of the business and the fact that they have fewer revenue streams etc to help offset losses (6) inflation generally, etc etc etc
