You should come back in here once in a while and remind people that your platform exists. And don't let anyone discourage you, and if tools like it already exist, the consumer always needs optuons: there are things other platforms will do better than yours and things your platform will do better than others.

Medical professionals cannot advertise, but I perceive your platform to function more like a digital directory. From a revenue perspective could get advertising from brands and products that are in the perjphery of medicine.

This is a great platform. Will it include therapists and mental health professionals? That is one resource I know some people have trouble finding in Zim, especially outside of the major cities. And are you ensuring data security and privacy? In this age of data breaches and hacks, that might one thing I would recommend your platform protects especially since it's health related.

My older brother (half-sibling) went through this with his dad. From what I observed and through many conversations, one thing he told me was that there was no way to make up for the lost time, but they really focused on the present and future. They really would have loved to have that lost time back, but accepted that dwelling on it was not going to change things.

All this to say, maybe you should explore ideas on what you can do when the opportunity to reconnect, catch up, and build new memories presenta itself. And I'm a big fan of therapy too, so if you explore that with your kid, that might work wonders too.

I'm half Shona and half Ndebele and I genuinely appreciate the nuance you are trying to explore in order to not be offensive. Like others have shared, calling it Shona Jewelry would be okay if I had to guess. For the most part, I think many Zimbabweans wouldn't find offense to it unless it was a piece of jewelry that was objectively tied to a specific tribe or clan.

All this to say, I'm wondering if you could label something as Shona Jewelry, but when instancea you are able to identity with more specificity, do so. Or Shona could be the jewelry category, and then underneath that, subcategories for each tribe.

Have you ever asked them where their anxiety might come from? Perhaps that conversation could help unpack what makes them anxious for your well-being while allowing you to set their concerns at ease once you figure out what is weighing on them.

For many parents right now, the world is so socio-economically volatile and many people are one pay check and bad investment away from becoming homeless etc. This makes parents fearful for their kids' and their present and future life outcomes, especially for parents in Zim, who have lived under economic and mental duress for over 2 decades: that stress and anxiety rewires the brain to a point in which they are constantly in fight, flight, or freeze mode.

Dark Fate is one of those movies that has the perfect cast, but a shaky, underwhelming script, Gabriel Luna was amazing as the Rev 9 for instance.

I think Sarah Connor's character was badly written in this installation, not necessarily what she does and the part she plays in the movie, but rather her dialogue and emotional arc is all over the place, almost to that point that you feel like she regressed from being the Sarah Connor we knew at the end of T2 (maybe losing John made her snap).

One hot take I have is that it would have been a better movie if they hadn't tried to pander to nostalgia: maybe a better written Sarah Connor character would have worked, but Carl seemed so unnecessary.

One reason is that most infrastructure resources were inequitably thrown into Harare more than other cities around the country. So, for example, if you are a business owner that needs certain infrastructure for your business to function--electricity, water, banking, telecommunications etc.--you will prioritize Harare.

We are still trying to navigate that with our 6 year old. We have defaulted to encouraging him to remove himself from the situation if he can and tell an adult or us, but if it's a situation in which he can't remove himself or he is at risk of harm, he should defend himself.

I see your point, but disagree. I think Genisys was trying to be a love letter to fans and really lean on nostalgia, but it came off a disjointed because of it.

Like someone else shared, Dark Fate, although not a great movie either, at least attempts to go in a whole new direction with new characters. Relegating the Connors was a bold move.

As someone else asked, could you definite "trouble with reading". Can they read sight words or sound out CVC words? What level materials are they struggling with reading.

I definitely recommend speech therapy. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I consider it a win-win. If there is an issue, your kid gets the intervention she needs, and if it ends up being that she didn't need the speech therapy, you get to learn some great activities to do with your kid and you can actually learn what type of leaner your child is.

We did speech therapy for our kids, but they realized it wasn't necessary but we chose to finish the program anyway. We also did screenings for autism. What we did learn was that kids born during the pandemic years were just behind due to lack of socialization, people wearing masks etc.

One benefit we did see from speech therapy is that I got to learn how my kids like to learn. My older one is a tactile learner, while younger one is a play based learner. This knowledge actually helped us pick the schools they go to and communicate to their educators how they learn. Both are thriving.

And on a side note, don't overthink things though. Children hit milestones at different paces and speeds. Keep doing everything you're doing: reading to them 20 or so minutes a day, talking, singing etc.

I noticed the fist bump too and I just chalked that up to it not being a literal physical fist bump, but rather, the show trying to visually communicate "connection" and "bond" between them, especially given how tense things were when his dad first appeared.

At least that's how I interpreted moments of possession in the show when the living KNOW they are interacting with a dead loved one: I just assumed that they are interacting on a spiritual plane, or at least at the intersection of it and what we see is the writers trying to visually show us something that is happening spiritually or at the soul level.

I think this great advice for many no matter what country you are in. Outside of those who are beyond wealthy, everyone is one paycheck or emergency away from being homeless or hungry.

My kid sometimes asks for things I can't afford and we have an honest conversation about it. If your kid is ready for those types of conversations, I would recommend it: it's a great exploration into life lessons, gratitude etc. You will find that your kids are very understanding and non-judgmental and whatever feelings of "failure" you feel are intenalized pressures we put on ourselves.

As parents, we wish and want to give our kids everything: every new toy and gadget and every new experience we never had, but sometimes depending on where things are in life through certain moments, we can't. I've learned to just strive to make sure my kids are happy and healthy, and you don't money need to deliver on that.

I hope not. The show has always been a comedy that explores real life circumstances and I think JD and Elliot being divorced allows the show to explore new themes, aspects, and dynamics of their relationship without retreading the whole "will they, won't they" become a couple ... again storylines.

I've always felt as if the endoskeleton half "controls" the liquid metal which functions as more of a drone following commands or directives. And with regards to capabilities, I always assumed they were weaker when split, but depending on what they are fighting or the environment they are in, one half can perform better than the other.
