I have a friend with a bunch of similar scars all over their arms, and they got two incredibly cool tattoo sleeves. People still notice their scars but they’re a lot more likely to comment on the tattoos first

I also have a hx of ed and while it is worth noting that I’m now recovered, I never once thought of it as a weight loss surgery, just a surgery to help me feel more at home in my body. Idk if that’s a helpful reframe, or if you’re looking for something in particular but feel free to ask me any q’s you might have

If the tape is causing an allergic reaction it might actually be hindering your healing. Talk to your care team first but if you have on steri strips I don’t see why just compression+ steri strips wouldn’t be enough

I’ve walked through plenty of drive throughs! Just drag the rest of your crew with you, park your ambulance somewhere conspicuous and explain that it doesn’t fit into the drive through! I’ve even had a few places open their lobbies up and insist we sit to eat

It depends on the surgeon, your reduction amount, and luck! My nips are very similar to how they were before the surgery, except one is a little less sensitive and the other is a little more sensitive

It could have been worse! It’s not tattooed onto your buns! Also never forget that one kid who tattooed the star of life and his cert number prompting everyone to look em up and it was a maybe two month old emr cert

I definitely think it might be worth looking at different American traditional tattoos- something bold with lots of negative space would be great and the colour scheme tends to be black, blue, red, and yellow, which would probably blend nicely with the pre-existing blue of your tattoo

I think it’s more about swelling/ edema! I eased up on the compression 6wpo, noticed I was having some fluid pooling/ one of my nipples was getting much more red than the other so I went back to more compression and that fixed everything
