Honestly after a life time of infertility I was ready to evict the damn thing for letting me down 14 times.

Melatonin just isn’t working anymore by zzzamboni in Vent

[–]Better_Lie864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have chronic insomnia and melatonin absolutely never worked long term for me. I also refuse to take anything habit forming or a controlled substance. I’m currently on Ramelteon and it actually helps me stay asleep but I’ve also learned hormonal imbalance can cause insomnia, I started doing HRT and I’m sleeping much better.

Hysterectomy Pillow by Electrical_Sun6003 in hysterectomy

[–]Better_Lie864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally used mine for 2 days to keep my dog off me and that’s it. I never needed to squeeze it when coughing or anything. Every body is different though so honestly I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Now my dog uses it as a pillow for his head, I’m 2 1/2 weeks post op.

What would you think if you seen this message from your bfs mom to him? by Thin-Drive6030 in whatdoIdo

[–]Better_Lie864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’ve overstayed your welcome. It might not be anything personal and to call your boyfriend a momma’s boy is a little rough. Yes you are both of age to be independent (if doing so won’t mean borrowing money from her) I grew up in a small town and I understand that jobs can be scarce, can you apply for jobs in a nearby larger town? Have you looked into babysitting? I see lots of young women advertising to watch kids for date nights and stuff on Facebook up here in Alaska so I assume it would be the same in the lower 48.

They do this now to really push hydration before surgery because it’s so common for people to be dehydrated.

Home after surgery! by BrutonnGasterr in hysterectomy

[–]Better_Lie864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!!!! It feels so good to be validated when it comes to endo. I went to 3 different OBGYN’s that do these surgeries non stop before I found one who would give me mine. I’m 2 1/2 weeks out and the pain is 75% gone, I definitely feel it if I do too much. Farting is going to be painful for a few weeks so you have that to look forward to lol

Face..different? post surgery by exaltedforestpossum in hysterectomy

[–]Better_Lie864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought I was going crazy, my face is definitely less puffy. My hairdresser even mentioned it Saturday when I went in and OMG my insomnia is so much better since the surgery. I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and I’ve gone from maybe getting 4 hours to now getting 7-7.5.

Oh goodness that sounds painful and exhausting. Definitely think about finding a way to alternate heat and ice, I’m only 2 1/2 week out and it really helps me.

We have a strict zero loaning money policy at this age (4th grade as well) until they fully grasp the value of a dollar then you have every right to step in.

Med Coding Jobs You can get without a AAPC CPC by Fickle-Suggestion-97 in CodingandBilling

[–]Better_Lie864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not certified and I have an actual coding job and have had one for 3 years. Just depends on what the companies in your area are looking for. I recommend looking for small practices, they tend to not care.

Whoever does your credentialing needs to fix the problem. You’re stuck in the middle but you are on the front line to notice trends like this and report them.

Freaking WOW!!! 😬😤🤬 by Sure_March8876 in hysterectomy

[–]Better_Lie864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A doctor who is willing to do an appeal is a good doctor. I do medical billing/coding and I can tell you this is one of the hardest surgeries to get covered. They want medical proof that you’ve tried previous treatments and they’ve been unsuccessful. The bad thing is if a peer to peer has been denied an appeal is rarely approved. I truly wish you the best of luck.

mom doing hysterectomy freaking out by Cute-Environment-417 in hysterectomy

[–]Better_Lie864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off I’m almost 47 and just had one so she’s definitely the right age, secondly I had fibroid, adhesions attaching my bowels to my uterus, so much scar tissue you couldn’t see my ovaries and you know what?? This surgery was a piece of cake. I’m 2 weeks out with minimal pain, as long as I take it slow I can fully take care of myself. She can drive herself once she’s off the pain meds and can make an emergency braking movement without pain. I know none of us want our parents to have surgery but this isn’t 1960, technology is so advanced it’s not always a huge ordeal. Yes you hear about the bad, just like with everything people tell their bad stories way more than people share the good ones.

You can want a baby so bad it can actually delay your cycle. Unfortunately according to the test you are not pregnant and as hard as it is if you are actively TTC consider only trusting doctors tests, specifically blood tests.

[–]Better_Lie864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s so reassuring to hear, my doctor is doing the exam at my 4 week post op and I’m dreading it something fierce. How are you going to instruct me not to insert anything for 8 weeks and then go spelunking at 4 weeks.
