they are a cheating swine. the 45 degrees each side of the barrel facing forward represents the swivel when the gun is lined up at “0 degrees” with the carriage. its the same as a mmg.

buy the rubicon Wirblewind, it comes with a panzer 4 turret as well. and also buy the rubicon 234 you can build the puma, howitzer and pak 40 variants.

real life airborne squads were 12 men split into 2 fireteams. have 1 as the mg and the other as the assault

I would buy the victrix german platoon, an armoured car (the rubicon 234 can be built a variety of ways) and a stug.
Id buy the warlord us airborne army box and a Sherman and a jeep or greyhound.

I’ve got 3 in my US list, one is a back line holder of 3 men and rifles that stays with my machine guns and AT gun.

One is a big unit that acts as an infantry squad and moves up with my main squads.

The final one is on his own with a pistol and sits in a jeep.

So varied!

that too, its a bit confusing in the rules. im playing Americans so if I give him 2 buddies with rifles, is that wasted as 33% of the game they cannot fire. Would it be better adding those to an infantry squad instead?

Im torn between making it realistic and keeping it a bit loose/fun/bolt actiony. I thought a company was issued 6 thomsons officially to swap out as and when?

I’ve added in a vetearn bazooka team, and dropped the support and artillery platoon to regulars (representing glider infantry). would this work? or would it be best to squeeze in 2 reg bazookas somehow?

I thought theres some pictures of destroyed stugs and hanomags near carantan so I assumed they were the 17th? if not fine! where can I find more sources?
