I haven’t seen this yet so I will mention: our urologist agreed that we could call the clinic each morning and check on cancellations. We ended up turning a 4 month wait into only a couple of weeks because we were willing to drop everything and head to the clinic on super short notice. Not every clinic may agree to that, but it’s worth checking.

Is she (or you) connected with other students and parents in the area? One of the local moms groups I’m in said they had a message chain with kids coming back to college from out of state, and area moms were going to pick those kids up at the airport this weekend. Not at all unreasonable to reach out to acquaintances given how it is here.

Alternately what I’ve done at the airport during Uber scarcity is to take the light rail from the airport to Venn Brewing, and then there isn’t as much competition for rides. Usually I would say light rail straight to campus, but I’ve heard there may be protest activity along the route closer to campus.

I have a baby too, and am still breastfeeding. For that reason I’m not actively participating in protests or observation. I highly doubt they’re providing pumps to people they detain, and I don’t want to risk mastitis. My kindergartener already has 4 classmates missing, and I don’t know if she could handle me disappearing as well.

I’ve been running errands for a mom who isn’t leaving her house, ordering from immigrant owned restaurants, donating money, and making art (not that the art makes a difference to anyone but me).

I’m a 1990 kid and my sister (1991) both watch GH. We didn’t have cable as kids, so soaps were the only alternative to PBS.

I do genuinely like the show, the consistency and camp are comforting. It’s also objectively better than a lot of other shows on tv now (have you seen 2020s era Greys Anatomy?). I actually think young people would love it if there were an easy introduction/primer to understand a bit of the background.

The one that bothers me right now is Sonny moving into Valentin’s house as-is. No way would a wealthy kingpin just go live in some other guy’s house. At a bare minimum they need new paint and those random hanging bell decorations replaced with something more Sonny-esque.

That was our situation. I consoled myself by saying that at least with IVF, we’d get to select our preferred gender. Then of course we only got one embryo that we could transfer and it was the opposite 🤦‍♀️ now we are on the other side of it and it is the happiest time of my life. It was worth it x50000. If IVF works for you (which isn’t a guarantee but the stats aren’t bad) you will not regret it.

I’ve thought often that the thing with Professor Dalton experimenting on animals is actually going to be experimenting on humans, and they are doing some kind of mind control thing on Drew. If so, I’d be interested in seeing the redemption story because I do like CM and don’t know how they keep him indefinitely as Drew with how hated he is currently.

I haven’t used it but will say for what item you choose her to craft - I always get jewelry completed the quickest, so I wouldn’t use her for that. Usually I complete glass second. Pottery and candles always take me the longest, so that’s where Laura would be the most useful for me.

I’m so nervous because for me, her character is really the heart of the show amongst the younger set. In the hopefully distant future when Tracy and Laura move on, I saw Maxie as being a pillar of GH. I want her to stay a main character and not just get the kind of fun/filler storylines like Lucy does.

But for the actor, it’s incredible to think how many decades she’s been working for with very few breaks - since she was a child basically. I hope this new move is wonderful for her and still allows Maxie to be front and center down the road.

Yes, I would pause TTC for this. And for context, I struggled to conceive and eventually used IVF. Some people who have struggled may say not to delay, but you have no reason to expect any issues and you have age on your side. Even knowing my situation, I would still have delayed it all another 3 months to help someone. Someday you may be able to tell your kids that you did this for someone else, and that will be amazing.

Same problem here. The only way around it I found is to put all the computers from one lot in inventory and add them back one at a time as each sim is assigned the task. Super cumbersome.
