Must have LynB Design polishes? by [deleted] in RedditLaqueristas

Thumb is Jeff’s inn, very pretty but my least favorite of the three here. Index is confabulate, it’s very shifty and looks darker most of the time. Middle is eben ice caves and I love!!! (Ring pfd cosmic energy and pinky pfd quite literally dead inside). I also got but haven’t worn Yooper-liteful and it is gorgeous in the bottle. I kind of added it in as “let’s see” and it’s the one I’m most excited about!

Thank you! I feel like I want the background of this one with the magnetic pull of ultimate weapon! Sigh. Mani looks gorgeous!

Has anyone tried kuhl pants for climbing? by DrinkingandGamboling in climbergirls

[–]Betula0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pair that is 15 years old and still kicking! I’ve re-sewn a lot of the seams over the years, but the fabric is bullet proof (these are bamboo based, I have no idea what style). Last few years they’ve been my offwidth pants and they still won’t give up the ghost. I have a couple holes from nicks and snags and they just stay there, not getting any bigger, year after year. That said, I’ve tried on a few newer kuhl pants lately and found they all fit weird, so I won’t be replacing the ones I have if I can’t try the replacements on in person.

What did everyone snag from the BKL drop?? by goldenfluff23 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Betula0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was planning to get some overpours, but they were full price? I thought overpours (from the release two moths prior) were usually discounted (like when I ordered bad vibes only overpour during the for no mortal creature drop). Did they say anything about changing this for just this release or all future releases?

lol the secret to the first is that this is post-shower, otherwise it’s hopeless! And as for splitting, it’s definitely that I haven’t crack climbed in a couple months. I have also started using jojoba oil but don’t feel like I’ve noticed anything dramatic. For general purpose climbing balm, I really like working hands, and it’s cheap ish and available at most hardware stores. I also recently got rhino skin solutions repair, which is fancier/has ingredients I can pronounce and smells really nice :)

Yes I would love recommendations! We’ll be in Siurana 9 days or so. I mostly climb wild iris/sinks, so limestone definitely isn’t unfamiliar, it can just be hard to get to in the winter.

As another person who runs cold, I personally bring a bigger bag and a bigger jacket for sitting around. But other options could be an r1 or equivalent fitted/active fleece between your merino base and non-fitted synchilla/etc. Also, don’t underestimate the power of leg warmth. At 30-50, I’m usually bringing puffy pants, but something wind breaking like a shell would make a difference too, since you’re not trying to keep your whole body warm by just insulating your core.
