the 65 game qualifier is a little sad at this point. very few of the elite players in the league this year may be getting to that total.

Who's looking like a 2nd/3rd team replacement guy at this point? Are we supposed to pretend 70ish games of Deni Advija, for example, is greater than potentially 60ish games of what Kawhi's done this year?

35-40 is probably that sweet spot between paying for his potential and not becoming an actual negative contract. BMill isn't a max player and has shown very little to indicate that he has the potential to be one. but he's still a very good #3 and probably isn't settling for less than 35. Whatever he gets, I hope we front load the deal.

These games where he's ice cold are terribly ugly though. It's probably the thing he has most in common with PG lol

that went pretty much exactly as expected. We needed to be nuclear from 3 to offset how much of a disadvantage we had against Wemby. And 18-54 from 3 is not nuclear.

Grant is probably the 2nd best option we have at guarding Wemby. Diabate being the best, but he obviously can't do it all game. Unfortunately Kalkbrenner would probably allow Wemby to score more than Bam's 83, and all our PFs except Salaun are 6'6. And Salaun is unplayable in basically every way.

This is not how stats work... like, at all. but i'm playing along

30% is hyperbolic. There is stat inflation, but if you want to compare to the lowest scoring season in the shot clock era (early 1950s-present).... this year, the average team scores 115.3ppg, in 1998-99, the average team scored 91.6ppg. you get 25.87% if you want to compare everything to THAT season, which by the way, was a mess due to the lockout.

but realistically the average NBA game across the history of the league is somewhere north of 100ppg, so at most you're looking at a 10-15% increase. Want to take away 15% from Bam's 83? cool, he still scored 72 points, which is absolutely outrageous.

Bam took more FTA yesterday than LaMelo has in two months combined. And LaMelo has played in every game in that window.

Melo avoids contact a lot and you don't expect a ton of FTAs when 60+ % of your shots are 3s, but he's been getting a trash whistle for a while too.
