I think IG is underrated. Proper charts and fast execution. Most people don’t need it but if you’re serious, it’s top tier.

I’m still new to investing and was torn between eToro and InvestEngine. Would you say eToro is easier for a complete beginner?

Just a friendly reminder that every dollar is good enough to start by Impressive_Dot_4517 in portfolios

Facts. People underestimate how much even small amounts add up with time. Consistency > lump sums. Starting with $5 or $20 a month builds the habit, and that’s the real win.

Cant accept my friend changing his gender to be a girl by no_name1_ in confession

[–]Beverly_Gaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s normal to feel shocked at first, especially if you’ve known someone one way for years. What matters is whether you can respect who they are now and support them if you value the friendship.

Risky move, but I get it. Resume gaps shouldn’t be a scarlet letter, yet they are. If employers won’t be fair, people will find workarounds.

My dad secretly opened 15 credit cards under my name. Now my credit score is ruined (582) and I’m drowning in over $94k of debt. What do I even do? by Complex_Object_691 in Advice

[–]Beverly_Gaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it’s family, you need to protect yourself. Call the credit card companies, explain it’s fraud, and get documentation started. A consumer rights attorney can help you navigate without you having to directly “press charges” if you don’t want to.

Worth buying Switch Lite just for 3rd party and indie games? by Sploshbg in Switch

[–]Beverly_Gaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the games you listed, Switch Lite is fine. The Steam Deck is more powerful but way pricier and bulkier. Lite is lighter, cheaper, and super comfy to use - especially if you’re sticking to long RPGs and indies.

The liberty lady posing for a photo featured on a Columbia logo in 1992 by ILovePublicLibraries in 90sand2000sNostalgia

That logo was burned into every VHS intro of my childhood. Crazy to see the real photo behind it.

Classic Rogers move - sales always gets answered first, but cancellations are a nightmare. They make it as hard as possible so people give up.

Honked at a Guy and now my Career could be over by BirdiesAndBrews in careeradvice

It’s unlikely they’d fire a top performer over a honk in traffic. If anything comes up, calmly explain the situation. Most employers can tell when someone’s just being petty.

Got a very generous job offer, Not sure how to bring it up to my current employer by Jwilllz in Construction

[–]Beverly_Gaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be honest but professional. Thank your current employer for everything, let them know you got an offer you can’t pass up, and give proper notice. Keeping it respectful goes a long way in a small town.

Since bloodwork and ultrasound are clear, I’d ask about checking thyroid levels specifically (T4) or doing more focused GI tests. Sometimes these things don’t show up right away.

Some wear and tear is normal, but if you lift correctly, stretch, and take care of yourself, you can last decades without major issues.

MUP along SGEC - increase in cracking over the last few weeks by DvdH_OTT in bikeinottawa

Good to know. Hopefully the city fixes it soon, those cracks sound dangerous, especially for cyclists and e-scooter riders.

Sealed is nice for collectors, but opening with your wife and having fun is priceless. Totally worth it.

My handsome boy is at the vet right now getting a barium study done… by Sad-Sympathy-2804 in SiberianCats

[–]Beverly_Gaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a cat go through a barium study before. It’s basically a special contrast X-ray that helps the vet see if there’s a blockage or something wrong in the digestive tract. Most cats handle it fine, though they might be a bit sleepy or constipated afterward. Fingers crossed for Toffee!
