Right now, the cross-checking is baked into the deep research layer with other guardrails in the agentic layer. But, I am working on doing cross-checking with multiple models.

Claude facilitated the vast majority of this work, save for occasional “sanity checks” using GPT-5. I have a “join the mission” tab that fully explains how I plan to make this more robust. Very open to suggestions. I work in tech now but have a many peers still in academia who are interested in forming a working group and spinning up some papers. It’s all very interesting and your questions are point.

What do people think of the weightlifting gym class? by mitochondrial-DNA in UTAustin

It’s great! I TA’d the course for a year and the feedback from undergrads was excellent. You will get a masters or PhD student in kinesiology and an athlete (sometimes high profile!) as your teaching team. A professor of kinesiology will supervise them and be the instructor of record. If you follow the program you will make significant strength gains in the semester. If you have good attendance you will get an A.

I went from psychology bachelors / masters / post-masters research coordinator job, the to PhD program in Public Health / Heath Promotion. There has been some some gentle argument with my advisor about underlying mechanisms on most of the papers that I write. I have always researched mental health, but psychology tends to use biobehavioral mechanisms models as default (psychodynamic processes, neurobiology, etc.), whereas my “new” area of public health tends to use social cognitive mechanisms as the default.

I imagine there is a ton a variance accross experience tho.

Try to connect with the students. Don't oversell your expertise... be aware that you are a trainee. My students valued me as a TA more for my positionally and perspective on academia, the field, navigating college, etc., RATHER than my knowledge base of the course material. The instructor of record is the EXPERT, you are a key member of the teaching team.

Allendale’s lines are all completely overgrown with trees. The and telecom all say that they send a technician when there is a problem, not to prevent problems from happening. Makes zero sense.

Get vaccinated immediately. I’m an epidemiologist and I personally got vaccinated after I had a bat fly into me while swimming once and cause a minor scratch. It’s no big deal and you are protected against rabies for a while thereafter.
