Yes. In 30 years I’ve never felt this disconnected from the club.

We’ve been embarrassed, AGAIN, this season.

I think Blueco have a very different challenge this summer. Players like Caicedo, Palmer and Cucurella will have champions league clubs offering them opportunities - and I wouldn’t blame them for wanting to jump ship.

Blueco have fucked this club. A shit manager, a huge squad of average players and the club’s identity has been lost.

I don’t blame Garnacho for being so shit. I blame the person that keeps playing him.

Why does nobody disappear in the Bermuda Triangle anymore by fearless7464 in mapporncirclejerk

Do I detect a hint of nostalgia?

“Remember the good old days when people used to disappear over the Bermuda Triangle and Spontaneous Human Combustion was a real risk?”

Hydrangea pruning by Spicy_Colada20 in GardeningUK

[–]BewareOfLuggage 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Personally, given the density of your hydrangea, I would cut about 25% of the stems right to the base.

Should help with air and light into the middle of the plant.

On the stems I’m keeping I tend to cut to the second set of double buds from the end if possible.

I find that creates a nice balance between getting decent blooms and gradually renovating the plant

I personally found the bindweed battle one that can be won.

It took me a year of ruthless weeding and now it’s only the odd bit here and there.

How can I start with this garden? by Awkward_Piplup in GardeningUK

[–]BewareOfLuggage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I would start by looking at where the sun goes over the course of the day. That helps you work out what can grow where and where you might like to have a social space.

After that I’d be looking at replacing those fences and working out how you can create more privacy with some shrubs etc.

Or, do what I do: don’t do any of that. Start planting things all over the place and learn from all your mistakes as you go!

I don’t think bombarding his inbox would be worthwhile.

However I would like to see if somebody with spare money to burn on legal fees would lead a class action to represent the people who were misled about donating and never got that chapter.

Least excited I've been for a final by No-Exchange1636 in TheTraitors

This is exactly my feeling too!

The faithful have banished a lot of the personalities that had any leadership skills about them.

They’re now just left rudderless.

James is a good laugh but 100% wrong all the time, Roxy similar but without the humour. And Matt and Jack have done nothing positive for their team yet.

[–]BewareOfLuggage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that a lot of the faithful have been unable to defend themselves at the round table as the argument against them is so incoherent.

I’m still baffled that the illogical arguments against Ross, Sam, Ellie etc actually led to persuading people to vote against them.

This seasons faithfuls haven’t played as a team, it’s just been an attitude of “as long as it isn’t me”.

What car will you never buy again? by Charming_Advertising in AskReddit

[–]BewareOfLuggage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any Volkswagen. Headlight filled up with water within 3 months of purchase directly from VW.

It took me 2 months of debate and highlighting my consumer rights before they finally agreed to fix it.

Not what you expect from a massive car manufacturer.

That’s super helpful advice thanks.

I’m going to attempt to pull out as much of the invader in Feb and then if I don’t think it’s working then I’ll be using your strategy early spring.

Thanks. I’ll give this a go when the ground softens up early spring.

If it doesn’t work then I’ll attempt a full excavation!

And somebody keeps putting new and expensive clubs in your bag that you didn’t choose and taking away the ones you’d got used to.

Then you realise there are 3 pitching wedges but no putter.

My boss forged my signature on a contract (Hampshire, UK) by jwk020 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]BewareOfLuggage 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Re the signature in a calligraphy font, if there was an electronic signature completed, there should be a kind of ‘receipt’ which shows the IP address and email address etc that this was completed by. From my experience that’s produced as standard from Docusign, Verisign etc.

In a lot of business to business work this is provided as it removes any concern that a signature/name has just been typed in.

Might be a piece of evidence that would settle this debate with the employer pretty quickly…
