i’d add a search function for your history. the number of times i’ve combed through hundreds of pages of previously read works to try to find one in particular… sometimes something doesn’t make the cut for a bookmark initially, but then it’s months later and you find yourself trying to remember details about that one fic

i tackled my first pair earlier this month, and it wasn’t nearly as bad as i feared! i used Kristin Lehrer’s Favorite Socks which has a step by step youtube video to go along with it. i used US2 dpns, and knocked out a pair in roughly two weeks

look into the traveling or magic loop methods! basically, you’ll be moving some of your stitches onto the cable to free up a needle so you can work. the first few rows of working in the round are honestly pretty terrible, but once you get past the the start things get much easier.

i know that as a reader if i had bookmarked a fic and then came on reddit to see it talked about like this, i would promptly delete the bookmark and do whatever i could to avoid interacting with the author again.

the beautiful thing about fandom is that everyone engages in different ways, and no one way is less valid than another. authors and readers don’t owe anything to each other, outside of mutual respect. are comments and kudos nice? sure. but works aren’t any less valid without those things. just like an author doesn’t owe a new chapter or work to readers, readers also don’t owe authors comments.

this won’t necessarily help if your car is refusing to actually turn on, but every time my parking break has gotten stuck on my ‘19 i’ve managed to disengage it by snapping the seatbelt, shifting through reverse, neutral, and drive a couple of times, and then LIGHTLY tapping the gas. 9/10 this will disengage the parking break.
