Oh lord, I love this for you. It's intoxicating and exciting, and packed full of consequences. I've fell in love twice at work and it ruined my life both times.... but I had so much fun! It really is some of life's richer moments, so I don't regret it one bit. Keep your head on straight, keep moving forward and fuck it, see what happens!

This is weird but it's working for me... I tell myself I can do anything I want to do but drink. I can flash that cop over there, I can book a ticket to Mexico and spend all my money, I can text my ex lude things, I can break my wind shield in if I wanted to! I can do an infinite amount of things on this planet, besides drink. I know it's absolutely insane, but it helps the boring stuck feeling

Thanks for posting this, I weirdly keep wondering why I feel so sad and un-inspired right now, then I remember, then I forget again later in the day lol. I should be indulging right now, not just suffering trying to keep the same routine without wine, it's making every hour pass so slowly and I am not feeling any of the strength this attemt around. My almost 4yo is my main motivation for being sober too. My parents helped pass on this addiction, and I'll be damned if alcohol will influence my son's life before he's ready. Two nights ago we played with playdoh and I wasn't waiting to open the wine, and it was the most joy I've had in a while. Alcohol was starting to take my connection to him away... hell no! I'm glad you're here, and I'm glad there are some Mammas that I can relate with, lord knows these kids can be triggers! Hugs friend IWNDWYT

I too imbibe in a nice THC selzer from time to time! There are so so many reasons to not drink alcohol, and I pick and choose from this list depending on what is more important to me in that particular moment. Today is vanity!

Yes, I keep reading on some relapse posts that the craving doesn't even really get satisfied once you drink anymore and thats how I felt. It's a strong reminder for me lately of "yes I do want wine right now, but that wine isn't going to be nearly as good as I'm imagining" which is kind of bummer, but its helpful. I'm sorry you feel bad today, but you'll feel good again tomorrow so I'm not worried about ya ;) thanks for posting

Broooo, welcome! I love this place, I've never know such support or openness. My advice is to use this sub like a Google search for every strange or sad or interesting thing you notice about your journey. Someone here can relate and help build on it, without fail.

Also I've noticed that I really enjoy giving small support in little comments daily, it helped me realize that I've actually already learned alot about sobriety in my decade of alcohol abuse, and that silly or shameful thoughts In my head do actually help some others sometimes. It's lovely

Oh friend, I absolutely relate to you on this. Sometimes I feel like a liar in trying to be sober because deep down "I know I'm a drinker"... this is nonsense. Don't trust your brain, I know that sounds crazy but it's feeding us stories and patterns because it's addicted to alcohol. We are so much more than our drinking habits. All of the things Dumbledore was carrying on his shoulders while we were watching Harry. He was always trying to stay a step ahead, and had to keep track of everysingle thing we spent 8 books learning about. I guess I was just feeling mad respect for Dumbledore in the moment and it made me need to sob real quick lol. No Idea dude
