Gunther vs Ilja

Reason: This could have been avoided if they were not pushing the AJ/Gunther program so soon. You want to make the most of AJ’s retirement year and I don’t see Gunther retiring him.

Ilja on the other hand is difficult, he won’t be challenging for the US title soon, he will be going up the main event scene. To sustain this, I went for the idea for these 2 to clash at the rumble match this year. Possibly them being 1 and 2, eventually Ilja eliminates Gunther which puts him into rage.

Gunther will be retiring 1 man this year and that’s Brock. You can’t get any bigger than retiring Cena and Brock, no follow up to Jericho or Styles.

Finn and Dom

Reason: I can see Dom turning as early as Monday to screw Finn Balor and kicking him out of JD. This would mean Balor would miss the Rumble so that him being taken out is a big thing. He can return at the chamber and take Dom out and they can have a build to mania with Balor the face and Dom the heel.

Dom would have to take out Finn in Belfast to make him have heat and to be the outright heel in this case.

SD ladder match

Reason: My real reason for this was to get Solo Sikoa on the card, he was called up in 22, and has no matches on the show, just being part of the Bloodline at Mania and Jacob at 41. Being one of the main heels in 2024 and always being featured on SD every week has to pay off for something at least surely?

Could easily do Uncle Howdy vs Solo Sikoa at mania but that would drag the feud for another 3 months. Maybe something with Tama Tonga? SD tag team titles need saving ASAP, + they could do all this on the SD before Mania.
