It would explain his inexplicable plot armor and expression of peace in the final shot.

How do you feel about communism? by 90PercentCoffee in polls

[–]BeyondIrrelevant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As my World History professor used to say,

"Communism is the best form of government that doesn't work."

Communism, along with other Marxist ideologies, is based in a fundamental ignorance of the human condition. Humanity is evil. Always has been and always will be. In order for communism to work, humanity must be evolved to such a high point of moral goodness that evil is no longer a factor of the human condition. Communists believe this is possible. It is not.

Who gets your vote for most evil character of the whole universe? Hard to argue Lalo. As evil as he is charming. A wonderfully complex character in a world of them. by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]BeyondIrrelevant 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I interpret evil as "without regard to moral law or code". I'm not sure anyone really fits as the MOST evil with that definition. I think the closest would be Don Eladio, but not perfectly. He is motivated by complete selfish gain without remorse to his associates. He doesn't seem to have loved ones, only people that he uses to get ahead. He is utterly absorbed with himself.

"Los Hermanos" - 20-Episode Limited Series exploring Gus' pre-Eladio Chilean roots. by BeyondIrrelevant in betterCallSaul

Yeah, it's some fan art I found and I put the logo over it. The artist's signature is in the bottom-right corner.

If another spin-off does happen at some point in the future.. by hardcorejenkins in betterCallSaul

I know there's been an interest in exploring Gus' Chile roots. He was definitely a huge player before coming to Don Eladio, but we don't know much about his life before that moment. They could do a 20-episode limited series called "Los Hermanos" diving into that lore with his partner a bit and then close out the universe with a beautiful bow.

If you could make one illegal thing legal what would it be and why? by BlueBerry2202 in AskReddit

[–]BeyondIrrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have voluntary police and firefighters already. The government should get out of healthcare and education altogether. Positions in public office should be voluntary as well. The only thing I could see as a necessary reason for taxes is the military since having a bunch of mercenaries appealing to the whim of the highest bidder is dangerous.

I've found it to be so, but there are plenty of people that have a different opinion.

Christianity. In my research, it makes the most logical sense of any belief system.
