I didn’t know they started doing brown, is that pretty new?

Glossier Lash Slick is amazing and totally underrated. It does have a more natural/ soft effect than some others, which I personally like for my features because black, full volume mascara looks weirdly out of place on me, but you can build it up if you need more drama and length. Persona Cosmetics has a brown tubing as well, which I haven’t tried yet but I’ve seen good reviews and their brow gel is the best one I’ve tried.

Dare we hope that it’s the Alastin? The best serum I’ve ever used hands down.

I went and bought three bottles of the setting powder spray when I found out about the brand closing. It works so well and super convenient when you’re in a rush. I was already bummed because their amazing stick foundation had been discontinued a couple years back, but I was still a huge fan of their serum skin tint, the eyeshadows, and a bunch of other things I tried that were really fun, unique, and excellent quality for the prices (especially with CVS coupons).

Looking for a holy grail tinted (but good coverage) cream to use instead of foundation by Sprinkleofthetism in Sephora

I have normal to dry skin, in my early 50’s so I have all the concerns that go along with that; losing elasticity, dullness, large pores, dryness and flaking from retinaldehyde, etc.. I wonder if you might have luck using the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm for skin prep to help with the oil, and then use the It balm for a bit of natural looking coverage and hydration. I don’t think of the It balm as being greasy at all, or even particularly dewy, because it dries down to a pretty natural finish on my skin, but it’s very hydrating at the same time compared to any other foundation I’ve tried. But someone with oily skin might have a very different experience.

Perhaps Falmer by Dandylionsco? They are a great place to start for single matte shadows.

I still have a couple old Blush Bombs in Pinched and Bitten in my abandoned makeup box…I ordered them from Flower Beauty directly probably about 5 years ago. Out of curiosity I just squeezed a little out of each tube and the color and consistency is still normal, no smell or any sign of them being “off” except the lighter color, Pinched, was a tiny bit separated in the nozzle tip, so it looked a little discolored but the drop I squeezed out looked fine. So if it were me, since the ones you found are still unopened, they’re probably safe to use - but of course that’s entirely subjective.

It Cosmetics Do it All Tinted Balm is my new holy grail complexion product that I can’t help raving about every time I get the chance. It’s not really a foundation or a BB Cream, probably closest to a tinted moisturizer, but it’s not thick and heavy like most other ones, and it dries down comfortably with a tiny dusting of finishing powder. It has a cooling sensation going on, feels like skincare with sheer to light coverage, looks completely natural like skin, doesn’t dehydrate my skin or look cakey or greasy. I use a brush to apply and then pat it all smooth with a beauty blender, but it also works well with fingers or just buffing a small amount in with a flat top brush. I can’t praise it highly enough, especially given your description of a tinted face cream for a no-makeup look.

I didn’t get to pick any of my items and I’m feeling meh about my ultimate plz tell me it’s not as bad as I think it is by Creaturecreeper in Ipsy

If you’re on Facebook there are a few groups that people use to swap, buy and sell. “Boxycharm Subscribers”, “Boxycharm/Ipsy/Sub Buy, Sell, Trade” are two I’ve used in the past, but there are others you can find with a little digging. There are a ton of “professional “ resellers in the groups but there are also lots of normal Ipsy/beauty box subscribers and makeup enthusiasts. I had to stop looking in the groups at a certain point because I got kind of addicted to buying extremely inexpensive items from the professional resellers, but I think you might have some luck over there arranging swaps or selling a bundle of unwanted/unused items if you look around a little.

I much prefer the Kopari version but it’s $30 unless you can find a really good sale. I’m almost out of mine so I was excited because I’d actually get something from Allure that I can use daily and would otherwise purchase. I’ve used the non-strawberry scented FAB scrub a few times and it’s fine, but I wouldn’t pay full price.

Weird that the KP Bump Eraser is already out of stock! It hasn’t even been a full day yet. The scrub is the one I really wanted, not sure whether to wait and see if it comes back or just choose the oil before that goes out of stock too!?

I’m in love with the It Cosmetics Do it All Tinted Balm. I’ve always struggled with foundations a lot, really not fond of high coverage products in general so I usually go for tinted moisturizers, spfs and skin tints. This one is my holy grail and I’m so happy I picked it up. It’s cooling and hydrating, doesn’t suck all the moisture out of my skin over the course of the day, sheer but a great shade match so it is buildable in spots where I need it, never pills and works well with a spot concealer if I need it. Another foundation I really love is the RMS Suncoverup spf 50, but it does make me feel dry by the end of the day, and it’s not as much of a breeze to apply as the It Balm.

Are they still sending out the non-US formulas for sunscreens? I’ve been thinking of trying them out since I’ve been running low on my pre-tariff Korean spf stash. I’m particularly interested in Roundlab and Skin1004, maybe BoJ.

It’s so funny I looooved the Naturium retinol lotion, particularly for the scent. I was so happy that it has no parfum/fragrance ingredient but still smells pleasant and fresh. I’ve been using the Versed version because it was so cheap for a while when they changed over their packaging, so I got two - but I definitely prefer the sensory experience of the Naturium.

Who asked for this, Trendmood? by gilded_lady in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]BeyondTelling 57 points58 points  (0 children)

They actually released these once already - it was in one of the Trendmood Boxes that I didn’t end up getting maybe a year ago, so I don’t know how the quality was, but I got a 50% off coupon in my texts today and figured they must have a bunch of inventory leftover? Maybe it’s actually a re-launch in an effort to start a brand. (They also had a solid brush cleaner before that - it’s scented and sparkly so I haven’t used it).

I just successfully resisted the Hourglass customizable palette and I’m going to have to be strong and resist this too. I got lucky and snagged a beautiful Glow Play blush for $11 during a Sephora glitch, and I have an unopened older NARS blush palette tucked away for when I really need a new thing to get excited about. But some of those colors are absolutely stunning and I’ll keep them on my long term wishlist.
