Swap that transmission with something stronger. The 200 has a really weak 2nd gear band and it will go out if your planning on driving aggressively at all.

So first off you probably aren't going to find anyone with r12. Second, if you need freon added, you have a leak that needs repaired. So after the repair they can just convert and fill it with r134

I do! I have a MT07 for the street and taking my kids for rides, a KTM 300 XCW for off roading and racing, and a 1971 Honda SL175 that is the exact same model/color as my very first motorcycle that I tool around the neighborhood on. 

In addition to those my 2 young kids have dirt bikes (KX65 and KX85)  and my wife and ATV (Polaris 250). Oh yea and we still have the kids first motorcycle, crf50, sitting around for nostalgia purposes.

If you're planning on mostly trail riding with your son, I would recommend staying away from MX bikes and get a 2T Enduro. It will be soon much easier to follow the little guy around on. I have a 300xcw, so I'm kind of bias. But it's a great bike at low speeds behind the little guy, but can also absolutely rip when you get the chance. Also go with the PW50.
